    Hearts v Celtic (19:45)

On his team selection at Tynecastle, Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou tells BBC Sportsound: "We got a couple of injuries and a couple are away on international duty.

"But we've fielded a team we think is strong enough to do the job. It's another challenge for us tonight but we've had them all year.

"There are only four in the starting line-up that started [on the opening-day defeat]. We're a different side and we've developed since then. We've been resilient all the way through."

  10. Maloney still looking for new facespublished at 19:42 Greenwich Mean Time 26 January 2022

    Motherwell v Hibernian (19:45)

Hibernian manager Shaun Maloney tells BBC Radio Scotland that more acquisitions could be on the cards before the transfer window slams shut in a few days.

"It's possible," he says. "With Martin [Boyle] leaving that was always a scenario that could happen. We have to replace attributes lost with Martin.

"It's very difficult, Martin was a brilliant player for this club for a long time. If it doesn't happen, I'm happy with the squad we have."

Speaking about tonight's game, he adds: "It should be a really big challenge. Motherwell have done really well this season, they're a fast attacking team who transition really quickly. They're really good from set plays. It's a really difficult game but we're looking forward to it.

"It's only been six weeks I've been here. It's been a really positive start and what the players have done in the four matches has been really impressive."

  11. Cavalry arrives for Countypublished at 19:40 Greenwich Mean Time 26 January 2022

Dundee United v Ross County (19:45)

Ross County manager Malky Mackay tells BBC Radio Scotland: "We’ve managed to get everyone back who played against Motherwell last week.

"There was a variety of heavy knocks and on the weekend, we only had one fit player on the bench to play Livingston. We’ve made a few changes tonight and freshened it up.

"We’ve got to keep playing the way we are. It’s perception at times, just off the top of their head someone might perceive United to be flying and County struggling, but it is about form.

"A lot of players didn’t know each other or me and how I wanted them to play at the start of the season. That has started to improve."

  12. Dundee Utd await Mulgrew scanpublished at 19:39 Greenwich Mean Time 26 January 2022

Dundee United v Ross County (19:45)

Dundee United boss Tam Courts tells BBC Radio Scotland Charlie Mulgrew is awaiting results from a scan on an ongoing injury.

The experienced defender misses tonight's visit of Ross County after being forced off late against Kilmarnock on Saturday.

"Charlie has been having to nurse a muscular injury for a matter of weeks," said Courts. "We got him to the 90th minute on Saturday but extra time was a step too far.

"Unfortunately he is not with us tonight. It’s hard to say (how long he will be out) because we sent him for a scan yesterday. Once we get the information from that scan, we’ll understand how to get him back on the pitch.

"But I feel we’ve got a really strong team out, the boys are in confident mood and we’re looking to start building momentum.

"On Saturday, we were pushed to the absolute limited by Kilmarnock, it was quite a tousy cup tie, but it has served the players really well in terms of confidence and motivation."

  13. Neilson anticipates 'top game' at Tynecastlepublished at 19:38 Greenwich Mean Time 26 January 2022

    Hearts v Celtic (19:45)

On centre-back John Souttar returning to the side, Hearts boss Robbie Neilson tells BBC Sportsound: "He trained yesterday, he's a top player and top professional.

"Tonight is all about winning so we've put our best team out there. Tonight will be far more difficult [than the opening-day win].

"Celtic are far more settled. We have to bring our best game to make sure we get three points. I think it'll be a top game."

Neilson also confirms there are no further developments on Rangers' January pursuit of Souttar, who is set to depart for Ibrox in the summer.

  14. Van Veen leads line for Motherwell, No Hanlon for Hibspublished at 19:36 Greenwich Mean Time 26 January 2022

    Motherwell v Hibernian (19:45)

Graham Alexander makes one change to the Motherwell side that squirmed past Morton in the Scottish Cup at the weekend. Kevin van Veen - who scored from the spot after coming on - is in from the start, in place of Kaiyne Woolery.

The Motherwell manager has insisted he trusts the players he has to replace Tony Watt. Connor Shields has one goal so far this season, Van Veen has a much more respectable eight.

Shaun Maloney has opted for a much firmer shake up of his Hibs selection, with four changes from the side that were taken to extra time by Cove Rangers almost a week ago.

Paul Hanlon is the surprise exclusion - injury keeps the captain out. Rocky Bushiri comes in, alongside Paul McGinn, Jake Doyle-Hayes and Kevin Nisbet.

Melker Hallberg, Ewan Henderson and Christian Doidge make way, with the former not in the squad.

  15. Courts & Mackay ring changes at Tannadicepublished at 19:32 Greenwich Mean Time 26 January 2022

Dundee United v Ross County (19:45)

Both Dundee United and Ross County field heavily altered line-ups from their respective Scottish Cup exploits on the weekend.

Tam Courts has made three changes to the side that edged Kilmarnock in extra time, with Ian Harkes and Jeando Fuchs joining Dylan Levitt in midfield, and Peter Pawlett also starting.

There's no Charlie Mulgrew tonight after the veteran defender was forced off with a calf problem at Rugby Park. Nicky Clarke and Adrian Sporle drop to the bench.

Ross County were eliminated in Livingston, but Malky Mackay is able to restore some of his fit-again front-liners to the starting XI.

Top scorer Regan Charles-Cook is back to sharpen the away attack, with Jordan White, Alex Iacotti, Harry Paton and goalkeeper Ashley Maynard-Brewer all returning.

Out go Ross Laidlaw, Ben Paton, Kayne Ramsay, Jack Burroughs and Alex Samuel.

Also making way are Anthony Ralston, Stephen Welsh, Liam Scales and Liel Abada.

In comes midfielder Matt O'Riley for his Celtic debut, along with Josip Juranovic, Cameron Carter-Vickers, Greg Taylor, Nir Bitton, Reo Hatate, James Forrest and winger Jota, who makes his first start since early December.

As for Hearts, Rangers-bound centre-back John Souttar returns to the side after missing the weekend cup win at Auchinleck Talbot.

The defender is one of two changes as winger Josh Ginnelly also comes in, with Andy Halliday and Nathaniel Atkinson going out.

  17. Hendry back for Saints; Griffiths earns Dundee startpublished at 19:27 Greenwich Mean Time 26 January 2022

    St Johnstone v Dundee (19:45)

Cammy MacPherson is restored to midfield after his loan from St Mirren become a permanent move, while Murray Davidson joins him in the engine room and Callum Booth starts at left-back.

Dropping out from the embarrassing cup exit to Kelty - Saints' 10th straight defeat - are Tony Gallacher, Ali Crawford, Charlie Gilmour and Chris Kane.

Dundee also make four changes, with striker Leigh Griffiths earning a start after his cup winner at Dumbarton.

New signings Niall McGinn and Jay Chapman are both on the bench and could make their debuts.

Adam Legzdins returns in goal in place of Ian Lawlor, while Liam Fontaine slots into defence and Paul McMullan adds attacking verve to midfield.

Jordan McGhee and 19-year-old Josh Mulligan, who makes the bench, drop out.

  18. Lowry makes first Rangers start, Shinnie in for Livipublished at 19:25 Greenwich Mean Time 26 January 2022

    Rangers v Livingston (19:45)

After ringing the changes for Friday's 4-0 Scottish Cup win over Stirling Albion, there's a more familiar look about Rangers this evening with goalkeeper Allan McGregor, defenders, Calvin Bassey and Borna Barisic, and midfielders Glen Kamara, James Sands and Scott Wright all returning to the starting line-up.

However, one new face is midfielder Alex Lowry, who starts for the first time. The 18-year-old impressed, and scored, as an early sub in the cup.

More welcome names on the team-sheet for Rangers fans are Ryan Jack and Scott Arfield who are back in contention after injury, but begin on the bench.

Alfredo Morelos is away on international duty, Ryan Kent is suspended and Ianis Hagi will miss the rest of the season through injury.

Livingston make just one change from Saturday's 1-0 win over Ross County, as Andrew Shinnie comes in to replace Caleb Chukwuemeka.

Forward Joel Nouble could make his first league appearance for Livi from the bench after returning on loan from Arbroath.

  19. No Watt, no Boyle; where the goals come from?published at 19:22 Greenwich Mean Time 26 January 2022

    Motherwell v Hibernian (19:45)

Motherwell are aiming for a fifth successive home win in the league tonight but Hibs have been victorious on their last two visits to Fir Park and a third success would lift them above the hosts into fourth place.

Hibs have won three out of four under new boss Shaun Maloney but, last week they didn't trouble Celtic at all in their one defeat and needed extra-time to get past Cove Rangers in the cup.

Both teams have sold their top scorer this month, with Tony Watt and Martin Boyle offski, so we might not get a repeat of the crazy 6-6 draw from 2010.

  20. County catching up with Unitedpublished at 19:19 Greenwich Mean Time 26 January 2022

Dundee United v Ross County (19:45)

When Jack Baldwin grabbed a late equaliser for Ross County at home to Dundee United at the end of November, the Dingwall side were bottom of the league and 15 points behind their opponents.

Since then United have lost six league matches on the spin and are just four points better off than County, who are up to 10th in the table.

The Staggies, who beat Motherwell last week, are yet to win back-to-back in the Premiership this season and they've only won two of their last nine top-flight trips to Tannadice.
