  1. 'Kane has so much to do'published at 21:15 Greenwich Mean Time 7 March 2022

    Spurs 5-0 Everton

    Chris Sutton
Former Premier League striker on BBC Radio 5 Live

Everton give the ball away, Kane has so much to do, but it is a brilliant finish from a top class striker.

He watches the ball all the way on to his left foot and caresses the volley with his left foot.

That's two Matt Doherty assists for Harry Kane here. Will Son Heung-min be jealous?

All these games in hand Everton have will surely just prolong the inevitable.. relegation beckons..

    Harry Kane

    Turns out I was right...

Harry Kane watches Matt Doherty's deep ball come into the box, lets it drop over his shoulder and sends a beautiful volley into the bottom corner.

    Pure class.

I don't think this will end 4-0. Harry Kane keeps the ball in play and crosses for Eric Dier whose header hits the top of the crossbar.

    Spurs 4-0 Everton

Spurs break at pace - what's new - and Allan blocks Dejan Kulusevski's shot. Corner.

Jarrad Branthwaite puts Son Heung-min's cross-shot behind for another one.

Paul Gallagher: Everton are so bad I hear Tony Bellew is considering becoming a red.

Jamie Brilley: Wonder what would have happened had Everton fans actually got behind Benitez.

    Spurs 4-0 Everton

This is the first thing I would classify as an Everton chance as Dominic Calvert-Lewin hammers a low shot past Hugo Lloris but it's wide of the far post.

  9. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 52 mins

    Spurs 4-0 Everton

Spurs replace the booked Cristian Romero with Davinson Sanchez. They know the game is won.

  10. Gets worse for Evertonpublished at 21:09 Greenwich Mean Time 7 March 2022

    Tottenham 4-0 Everton

    Phil McNulty
BBC Sport chief football writer at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium

Frank Lampard might have told his players to see if they could get one back and take it from there, a ploy rather undermined by giving away another sloppy goal within seconds of the restart.

This is relegation stuff from Everton.

    Spurs 4-0 Everton

Son Heung-min blocks Anthony Gordon's effort. Everton are yet to test Hugo Lloris.

Everton win a free-kick. What can they do?

Ryan Howard: "Kane has a golden boot" - false, he has 3 in the Premier League and 1 in the World Cup. He's on course to break the record for most goals in the Premier League ever. That would certainly qualify him as one of the best ever, in my book.

Kaeto Hernandez: If the best players have “countless medals”, why is Alan Shearer arguably considered one of the greatest strikers to have played in the PL considering he only has one medal? Seems a flawed argument Ben Hall.

  14. 'Everton have folded'published at 21:07 Greenwich Mean Time 7 March 2022

    Spurs 4-0 Everton

    Chris Sutton
Former Premier League striker on BBC Radio 5 Live

It is a really sloppy pass from Seamus Coleman trying to find Gordon and then Son is away.

Kulusevski rolls the ball across and it is the easiest of finishes for Reguilon with his left foot.

This is embarrassing from an Everton point of view. I'm sure there were tough words at half time. They have folded.

This game is over, it's not just the fact they will go away with no points, it's the damage this could do to this Everton team.

  15. Postpublished at 21:07 Greenwich Mean Time 7 March 2022

    Spurs 4-0 Everton

Everton are one point above Burnley and the drop zone and now have a goal difference of three worse than the Clarets.

You'd like to say Everton are too good to go down. But are they...?

  17. goal

GOAL - Spurs 4-0 Evertonpublished at 46 mins

    Sergio Reguilon

    First touch.

Sergio Reguilon scores about 40 seconds after coming on.

Son Heung-mins surges forward and feeds Dejan Kulusevski on the right. He crosses and Reguilon slots home at the back post.

Th second half begins. And there's already been a goal.

  19. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 21:04 Greenwich Mean Time 7 March 2022

    Spurs 3-0 Everton

One change each. Ryan Sessegnon and Michael Keane picked up knocks just before the break and they're both replaced.

Sergio Reguilon is on for Spurs and Jarrad Branthwaite comes on for Everton.

  20. Postpublished at 21:01 Greenwich Mean Time 7 March 2022

    Spurs 3-0 Everton

Spurs are an enigma, aren't they? Some games I watch I think I should fill my fantasy football team with people like Harry Kane and Son Heung-min.

And then the next game they're terrible.
