As any Spurs fan knows, a 2-0 lead after 18mins is not a guaranteed Spurs win after 90!
Colin, Barry SW
Win this 8-0 and we move into 6th!
Vincent, Hackney
Has everyone forgotten that this is Spurs? They'll probably end up losing 3-2.

Spurs 2-0 Everton
Another Spurs chance. Son Heung-min flies down the left and has a pass cut out. He gets the ball back and finds Matt Doherty, who sends Jonjoe Kenny one way and the other and forces a save from Jordan Pickford at his near post.

Andy Rudd: If I was Pickford I’m not sure I’d want to play for England, had a massive hand in England getting to a semi final and final, kept England in the final, and people are desperate to drop him after a mistake for his club team. Why be a keeper
Spurs 2-0 Everton
Harry Kane drops into his own box to deal with the ball from open play. It's so difficult to put a definition on his actual position these days.
Spurs 2-0 Everton
Spurs keeper Hugo Lloris, who I haven't mentioned until now, catches Anthony Gordon's crossed free-kick.
Spurs 2-0 Everton
Spurs defender Cristian Romero does the universal gesture for "I got the ball" after completely missing the ball and hacking Richarlison down.
Deserved yellow card. He wasn't even near the ball.
Spurs 2-0 Everton
It's almost a third for Spurs.
Son Heung-min is in one on one with a through ball from the halfway line. Jordan Pickford makes himself big and saves and Harry Kane volleys the rebound wide.
Spurs 2-0 Everton
Everton are trying to press and put Spurs under pressure. And it's working to some extent although they're not creating anything.
Spurs 2-0 Everton
Son Heung-min has a yellow card to go with his goal. Anthony Gordon leaves Ryan Sessegnon on the ground and Son just pulls him back. He didn't need to make that tackle.
Spurs 2-0 Everton
Allan fouls Harry Kane. Everton can't really get near Spurs right now.

If Ramsdale wasn't already England's #1, he is now.

Everton's bright start is but a distant memory after only 20 minutes and this looks comfortable for Spurs already.
Frank Lampard will feel real pain over those two goals as Michael Keane smashed an unerring finish past Jordan Pickford then the keeper was at fault for Son Heung-min's second.
Everton have not responded well to adversity away from home this season so this is already shaping up as a very difficult night.
Spurs 2-0 Everton
No immediate response from Everton to that goal/those goals, although they do have a good record of coming from behind this season.
Spurs 2-0 Everton
Son Heung-min has been involved in 11 goals in his last 12 Premier League games (seven goals, four assists).

Chris Sutton
Former Premier League striker on BBC Radio 5 Live
Dear, dear me. Two terrible errors from an Everton point of view. First from Keane then Pickford, who should save this.
Son is always looking for the movements behind, Kane does well on the right-hand side, good awareness from Kulusevski, Son makes a run, it goes under Pickford.
He should do much, much better. Ninety-nine times out of 100 he would save that, a terrible error from Pickford, it is so basic.
Spurs 2-0 Everton
Michael Keane also put the ball past Jordan Pickford in this exact Premier League fixture in July 2020.
It's his second own goal this year, having also reverse bagged against Norwich.

Richard Browne: I can't believe Everton got suckered into playing this way.
Steven Broadbent: I wonder how many more mistakes Michael Keane has to make to be dropped and never let into the side again? He must be the best player in training because he's awful on the pitch.
Spurs 2-0 Everton
Everton were the better team until the goals!
