Burnley know exactly what’s at stake. It’s a huge game. If they win today they go closer to Brentford with two games in hand.

A Burnley win would be massive for them psychologically.

Cheers Em! And yep, this is a HUGE game at the bottom of the table.

A win for Brentford and their fans will breathe significantly easier but three points for Burnley and they leap out of the bottom three while putting Everton into it.

Lots of nervous fans watching all over the country, no doubt.

Once Liverpool got the opening goal, there was only going to be one result. Liverpool just have that quality - that was the difference between the two teams at both ends of the pitch.

Pretty comfortable in the end for Liverpool, who win their eighth consecutive match in the Premier League. Brighton extend their losing run to five games in a row.

Liverpool close the gap at the top to three points.

Pascal Gross' cross is headed away by Joel Matip. Leandro Trossard switches it across to Tariq Lamptey but he skews it well wide.

Luis Diaz sprints down the left and gets a cross in but it's blocked for a corner.

The game has died down but Brighton have kept going.

You can’t fault the players’ effort, but it’s the same old problem in the final third.

Solly March gets it from Marc Cucurella and tries to go all the way, looking to catch Alisson out at the near post. Danny Welbeck wants it in the middle and isn't pleased when March hits it straight at Alisson.

Should be 3-0. Luis Diaz is clean through from a ball by Thiago, Diogo Jota is to his right but Diaz runs it straight into Robert Sanchez.

Jurgen Klopp isn't happy.

Brilliant stuff!

Danny Welbeck gets across Virgil van Dijk and flicks a cross towards the top of the net.

Alisson has to react to get his fingertips on it to push it over the bar.

A late surge from Brighton here. Solly March squeezes a cross on the left but it's blocked for a corner by Joel Matip. March was asking for a potential handball but nothing is given.

Jordan Henderson hands the captain's armband over to James Milner as he replaces him late on for Liverpool.

Much better from Brighton. It's curled in deep towards the far post, headed back across the six-yard area and Virgil van Dijk has to poke it behind for a corner under pressure.

The set-piece comes to nothing in the end as Lewis Dunk goes down in a scramble. Didn't look like much.

Luis Diaz slips in Andy Robertson. He pulls it back but it's behind Sadio Mane.

Brighton try to break but Fabinho gives away a foul and he's in the book now.

This game is done. Liverpool are cruising to full-time and Brighton haven't been able to offer much this half.

James Milner is getting ready to come on.

Neal Maupay puts Alisson and Andy Robertson under pressure at the back but Liverpool get it away.

Maupay then smashes into Alisson on the follow through and gets a yellow card. The home fans liked his running though!

It's whipped in by Pascal Gross but is booted away by Alexander-Arnold on the far side.
