It’s a great opportunity for Dwight McNeil. He needs to put the ball back where it comes from, it’s almost a clearance.

It’s a great chance. It is a tight game so when you get opportunities – concentrate!

These are big moments for Burnley.

A good spell for Burnley at the moment.

Dwight McNeil should do better.

Ashley Westwood sends a fine first time ball in after good play by Wout Weghorst and McNeil has a free header but puts it wide.

Big chance.

It is fair to say this is not a classic but it was always going to be a pretty nervous affair. Victory for either side would be huge but for Burnley a point would certainly not be a terrible outcome.

The contact just wasn’t strong enough – and I don’t think Maxwel Cornet was even in control of the ball.

I don’t think that’s a penalty kick. Not even close.

Maxwel Cornet goes down inside the box, a little too easily on first viewing. Burnley fans are screaming for a penalty but referee Paul Tierney isn't interested.

Bryan Mbeumo can't get past his marker on the right and Burnley clear the ball up the pitch to Maxwel Cornet. The forward gets to the edge of the box before passing to Dwight McNeil, who clips the ball towards the far post but David Raya plucks the ball out of the air.

We've just passed the halfway mark in the opening 45 minutes and it has been every bit what you'd expect in a battle towards the bottom of the table with some nervous play at times. There's been chances, however, so I'm sure it won't stay goalless.

Cornet has to do better with that – it’s on his left foot.

You’ve got to make the goalkeeper work in that situation. There aren’t going to be many better chances than that in this game.

Almost for Burnley as Maxwel Cornet bends his run to stay onside as the ball is played through the defence on the edge of the Brentford box. He aims for the far post but the ball goes just wide.

Both teams are really going for it, it’s quite a decent game of football.

It’s frantic at the moment, it’s all over the place and you can’t see what shape they are playing.

It’s the final-third decision making that isn’t quite right yet.

Another corner for Burnley - their fifth already - and this is a better delivery as Ashley Westwood whips it into the goalmouth but Brentford clear.

Ivan Toney is almost onto a decent ball slipped through the middle of the Burnley defence but Nick Pope reads it well and beats the striker to the ball.

That’s twice in a row that Christian Eriksen has got himself in a good position.

There was a pass on out wide to Ivan Toney, which might have been a better option. But it was a good save by Nick Pope.

Oh what a moment this would have been!

Christian Eriksen, on his first start on home soil for Brentford, shoots from outside the box and it looks to have beaten Nick Pope but the Burnley keeper stretches out a hand to palm behind.

Brentford know Burnley aren’t lightning quick at the back – they know they need to play on the break against them.

Burnley are racking up the corner count as Rico Henry heads behind a ball into the box. The set piece delivery has been disappointing each time, however, as Brentford clear.

The hosts then quickly try to release Christian Eriksen but Burnley are alert to the danger.

A couple of corners in quick succession for Burnley, both of which come to nothing.
