Trent Alexander-Arnold's free-kick is headed half-clear to Mohamed Salah. He reacts to nod it back across the box and Alexander-Arnold comes running in on the volley but slices it wide.

Liverpool are stretching Brighton now. Jordan Henderson, Joel Matip and Andy Robertson have crosses blocked before they win a free-kick just outside the box.

Andy Robertson curls it in from the left but Robert Sanchez gathers it in before Virgil van Dijk can meet it.

Joel Veltman then pings it over to Tariq Lamptey, who wins a throw-in on the right.

Steven Alzate tries to get past Trent Alexander-Arnold on the left but the cross is blocked and the Liverpool full-back does well to win a goal kick when it bounces back off Alzate.

Oh lovely! Sadio Mane flicks it over the head of Joel Veltman in midfield and drives straight for goal.

Mohamed Salah is to his right and Luis Diaz to his left but he goes alone, dragging it straight at the keeper.

Trent Alexander-Arnold's corner is met by Sadio Mane but his header lacks power and it's comfortable for Robert Sanchez.

Liverpool look in control now. Virgil van Dijk roars at Andy Robertson to carry it when he has space on the left but it's switched patiently back around.

Lewis Dunk then touches it out for another corner on the far side.

It's all going down that right-hand side for Liverpool. Jordan Henderson, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Mohamed Salah are causing problems.

All three are involved here before Henderson's fizzing cross is deflected behind for a corner. Salah blasts a shot over the bar from the set-piece.

Trent Alexander-Arnold's deliveries have been excellent today. He curls it into Andy Robertson's feet at the back post but he fires it way over. Should do better!

Neal Maupay goes down under pressure from Virgil van Dijk on the edge of the box and there's a few appeals for a shirt tug but nothing given. Liverpool look settled now.

I don’t think it should be double jeopardy for Brighton there. If he doesn’t score, fair enough, but the referee allows play on and I think Robert Sanchez should stay on the pitch.

Luis Diaz is very brave for going for that. I wouldn’t have stuck my head on that.

Luis Diaz doesn’t take his eye off the ball – he doesn’t know the goalkeeper’s coming until the last second.

It’s a fabulous header, a great run between the centre-halves and a great pass. It’s a fabulous goal.

Luis Diaz is fine and he runs over to the touchline to get a hug off Jurgen Klopp before being waved back onto the pitch.

There was a VAR check for serious foul play from Robert Sanchez and a potential red card for the Brighton keeper but he's been cleared. He doesn't even get a yellow card...
