Steven Benda again sprawls across goal to turn away a fierce thrash from Yakou Meite from the edge of the box for Reading.

Posh didn't deal with the initial ball, and Meite almost punished them.

Reading move the ball around neatly in midfield but Lucas Joao's loose pass wrongfoots Danny Drinkwater and Kwame Poku nips in to break.

Peterborough attack through the winger, and Oli Norburn drags a shot wide from the edge of the box.

Joao worked himself half a yard, but Kent came in with a timely effort.

Before that, it was good work from Baba Rahman and Andy Rinomhota to work the opportunity down the left.

Joao can be a menace if released in the right areas.

Hayden Coulson tried a cute sweep in behind the defence, but got his curling connection wrong and it bounces through to Reading keeper Karl Hein.

Joe Ward sends in a rocket of a cross which scrapes across the face of goal, and Nathan Thompson just can't turn it the right side of the post at the back stick.

Great chance.

Posh's next raid is just as dangerous, Hayden Coulson gets away down the left, curls into Ward, but it just overruns him and away.

Peterborough are enjoying a good spell. Reading are living extremely dangerously.

Massive scramble in the six yard box with the ball bobbling about, Joe Ward's shot is rapped behind.

Then a second corner isn't cleared by Lucas Joao's header, and handball is given on the edge of the box after more pinball.

Another chance for Posh.

That was a chance. Ball in from the left by Tom Ince, and Tom Holmes glances a header just wide for Reading. Was a superb cross.

It all came from a free-kick given away by Hayden Coulson with a bit of defensive end work to block off Yakou Meite. It's not the Super Bowl, mate.

Here we go then.

Victory would be priceless for Peterborough or Reading.

Only one can win obviously, but they can both not lose. Three points though are too much of a carrot.

Peterborough have to press even more to stop Reading from having the quality and clipping the ball into their fowards with the wind.

Reading may come out and think the game is won, that with the wind they won't have to give that extra 10%, and that might help Peterborough to get into the game.

It's all about character and getting those points on the board.

How will Posh deal with the wind in the second-half? It seemed to help them when the ball was pinged downfield in the opening 45.

That might just suit the Royals, particularly if Lucas Joao gets in the mood and starts bringing others into play.

Jonson Clarke-Harris couldn't have won more ball, but it didn't yield a goal.
