Fair to say Rangers boss Giovanni van Bronckhorst is buzzing to add a player of Aaron Ramsey's "quality, experience and leadership" to his squad.

"Huge credit must go to Ross [Wilson] and to the board for the work they have put in on this.

“I look forward to welcoming Aaron to the training centre tomorrow.”

Ex-Rangers striker Kris Boyd says the signing of Aaron Ramsey is "an unbelievable bit of business" for his former club.

"Yes you've got the money in the English game, but this is a fantastic place for him to go," Boyd tells Sky Sports.

"It's a great move for both parties. When he walks in front of those fans, he will understand the size of that football club. This signing has shown the strength of both Glasgow clubs."

  4. 'No other offers matched the magnitude of this club' - Ramseypublished at 21:40 Greenwich Mean Time 31 January 2022

Rangers new loan signing Aaron Ramsey says there's "so much to look forward to between now and May" at Ibrox.

  10. 'Brilliant for Rangers, bad for Celtic' - Mersonpublished at 21:24 Greenwich Mean Time 31 January 2022

Ex-Arsenal man Paul Merson says Aaron Ramsey's potential move to the Scottish Premiership is "brilliant for Rangers" but "bad news for Celtic".

"It just shows you how much they two teams have come on and how big they are," he tells Sky Sports.

"I'm very shocked a lot of Premier League clubs aren't in for him."

    Brian McLauchlin
    BBC Sport Scotland

It now appears that Hibernian's move for Manchester City teenager Morgan Rogers has failed.

The 19-year-old spent the first half of this season on loan at Bournemouth, but Shaun Maloney had hoped to lure the youngster north of the border.

However, my information is the deal is off.

Talks on a move for Jamie Murphy to Mansfield Town continue while there is still a chance Alex Gogic may make the switch to St Mirren.
