It's now highly unlikely that a deal for Hearts defender John Souttar to join Rangers will be completed today.
The Tynecastle club had indicated if there was to be a vastly improved offer from Ibrox, it would have to come by teatime... and it's not arrived.

St Mirren boss Jim Goodwin says "there are conversations ongoing with a couple other clubs" in regards to midfielder Jamie McGrath.
"As with anything, there's a cost involved," Goodwin told the media earlier today. "It's up to the buyers to meet the valuation we put on the player.
"I'm not trying to force Jamie out the door. I'm quite happy if he's still here when the window closes because it means I have another fantastic player.
"At the same time, if someone comes in with a decent offer, the club will have a decision to make."
