Arbroath 0-0 Kilmarnock

Brandon Haunstrup and Michael Mckenna clash as the Killie full-back tries to burst past him.

There didn't appear to be any malicious intent in it, as the Kilmarnock man was on the break, but McKenna is down and looking hurt now.

The Arbroath player is receiving some treatment on the sidelines now...

The wind appears to have calmed down during the break, which was kind of it.

Hopefully, the conditions will now be more conducive for some entertaining Championship football.

Surely there are some goals coming in this half?

All square so far at Gayfield.

Both sets of fans have been in fine voice all half, but neither side could find a breakthrough yet.

A few half chances have come and gone but no real goalscoring opportunities.

All to play for after the interval in this top-of-the-table clash.

Daniel MacKay rounds off Killie's best passage of play so far. He has the ball roughly 20-yards out, but his low, driving shot is saved by Derek Gaston.

The goalkeeper's initial save bounces off him a bit, but he recovers it well before Rory McKenzie has a chance to pinch it off his fingertips.

The clock is ticking into the final few minutes of the half now.

Will these sides remain deadlocked at the interval?

Thomas O'Brien clatters into Rory McKenzie out on the touchline but escapes without a booking.

But again for Kilmarnock, their delivery into the box is poor. Possibly a result of the conditions, though, making it hard to judge them tonight.

Nicky Low hits a snapshot from 20-yards out, but goalkeeper Zach Hemming collects with ease.

In these conditions, it was definitely worth a crack.

Killie get up the other end of the pitch as the game sparks into a bit of life (just a bit, it's still a pretty tense affair).

From a corner, they fail to properly get the ball in the box though and, from the rebound, they end up surrendering the ball for an Arbroath goal kick.

Jack Hamilton shows some dancing feet in and around the box and gets his cross in but Michael McKenna fails to convert.

He was off-balance in fairness to the Arbroath man, though.

Still no real clear-cut chances to speak of, so far.

A few fouls here and there, but attacking football hasn't been top of the agenda yet, fingers crossed, though!

A bit of a lull in the game now with a lot of cagey play in the middle of the park.
