Quote MessageHis jersey was pulled. He was dragged down in the box, but the referee does nothing about it. I know you see it all the time, but it is a penalty

Quote MessageIt's sweet though isn't it. Charlie's long pass was just perfection and, once McGinn takes that perfect touch, the finish is a piece of art.
Niall McGinn
Another out of the blue!
Surely that settles the game as a great crossfield ball from Charlie Adam finds Niall McGinn stealing in behind defender Andy McDonald on the edge of the penalty box and the veteran Republic of Ireland forward fires low under goalkeeper Brett Long.

There's a bit of disagreement in the Sportscene gantry about Dundee's penalty.
James McFadden says it was a definite spot kick because Brett Long catches Paul McMullan.
Fellow striker Kevin Kyle, however, thinks the Dundee forward is already on the ground having lost control before the collision with the goalkeeper.

Quote MessageNo-one is obstructing the referee's view and Lawlor makes a complete mess of it. He uses a heavy touch, he slips and takes the player out. Duncan then took possession I don't know how the penalty was never given.

Quote MessagePeterhead have been absolutely brilliant. The intensity of their pressure, some of their play going forward and they should have had a penalty
Dundee will be relieved not only to hear the half-time whistle but also to be ahead against lively part-time hosts.
Two penalty incidents separate the sides. Charlie Adam scored after Paul McMullan was pulled down by home goalkeeper Brett Long while Peterhead were denied an award when Ryan Duncan was similarly upended at the other end.

Quote MessageThat is a stonewall penalty. The goalie has lost his footing and positioning, Duncan comes across him he didn't see him it's a penalty.
