Early warnings signs are it’s going to be a busy night for Stuart Dallas. Luis Diaz has twisted him inside out on the two occasions so far he’s had to run at the Leeds defence.

It was only Mane’s backside getting in the way of a his team mates shot preventing a wonder goal from the Colombian.

it has been a very typical performance by Leeds so far, high intensity in attack but a little open at the back. The Liverpool defence is certainly leave gaps the visitors could exploit as well, there's going to be goals in this one.

Cristian Romero has had an interesting game so far.

He played a pass across his own goal that went out for a corner earlier in the contest but on the positive side, he also won a blocked tackle with Josh Brownhill that knocked the Burnley man over and then just stabbed a shot wide.

Tottenham have had a lot of defensive problems recently but Romero looks pretty good.

That looked like a certain goal by Luis Diaz before it hit Sadio Mane who is the box but got in the way. It's poor in possession by Adam Forshaw. Already signs by Leeds they need to get a grip.

Josh Brownhill has been lively so far and tests Hugo Lloris in the Tottenham goal but it is ultimately a comfortable for the French shotstopper.

Liverpool have improved since then though with Luis Diaz threatening. First the January signing sends a routine shot straight at Illan Meslier before his curled effort destined for the top corner deflects off Sadio Mane and behind.

A sloppy start by Liverpool. There's been a couple of loose balls in midfield. Leeds have started this game on front foot.

The team Jurgen Klopp has named says to me that he wants to get the job done. It's a very, very strong Liverpool side. The noise is incredible inside Anfield.

The pitch is clearly pretty slippy, so defenders will need to take extra care, which may be good news for the attackers.

A scare in the Watford defence as Conor Gallagher almost gets to a cross but there's a great challenge right in front of goal to poke the ball behind for a corner.

Antonio Conte is grimacing. Not because of the rain (it might be a little bit because of the rain) but because Rodrigo Bentancur is down injured and needs treatment. After a couple of minutes he is able to get up but does look in some discomfort and is one to keep an eye on.

Hugo Lloris plucks the ball from the air under pressure from the imposing figure of Wout Weghorst. The striker has certainly played his part in the Clarets' improving form and will no doubt be key to their hopes of escaping the drop.

We mentioned a stat earlier about both these sides failing to score in the first half of a Premier League game in 2022 and, so far, it is a stat that looks set to continue. Not much happening at Vicarage Road.
