  1. 'Liverpool have the momentum and belief'published at 18:48 Greenwich Mean Time 23 February 2022

    Liverpool v Leeds (19:45 GMT)

    Mark Lawrenson
    BBC football expert

Whether you are at the top or bottom end of the table, it’s always easier chasing, rather than being the team looking over your shoulder.

Liverpool are in that position now with Manchester City in their sights and, with nine straight wins, the Reds have so much momentum and belief right now.

Leeds, in contrast, have not won any of their past four games, and have conceded at least three goals in their past three. They are still missing some key players through injury, and I think this could be another difficult night for them.

    Lawro's prediction: 4-0

  5. Tottenham's slide started at Burnleypublished at 18:37 Greenwich Mean Time 23 February 2022

    Burnley v Tottenham (19:30 GMT)

    Simon Stone
    BBC Sport at Turf Moor

Arguably, Tottenham have not been the same since they came to Burnley exactly three years ago.

At the time. Mauricio Pochettino's side were pushing for the Premier League title but turned in a poor performance and were ultimately beaten 2-1.

Although they went on to reach the Champions League final, their league form collapsed, winning just three of 12 fixtures starting with that one.

Within months, Pochettino was gone, since when Jose Mourinho and Nuno Espirito Santo have left the club as well.

Antonio Conte's time at the helm has hardly been straightforward despite Saturday's superb win at Manchester City.

  6. Kane 'has to play even if he has one leg'published at 18:33 Greenwich Mean Time 23 February 2022

    Burnley v Tottenham (19:30 GMT)

    George Cummins
    BBC Radio 5 live

Antonio Conte couldn’t stop cracking jokes in his pre-Burnley news conference.

He joked that Kane, who was seen hobbling for his post-match interviews on Saturday, “has to play, even if he has one leg” against Burnley.

Conte was also full of praise for Sean Dyche, saying it was the "worst period" to come up against the Clarets.

"For sure, for us it will be a tough game," he said. "It's never easy to play Burnley.

"They have a good manager who is showing in these years that he is managing very good and maybe could deserve something more.

"I think they are doing a fantastic job.”

Crystal Palace make four changes to the side beaten in the 89th minute by Chelsea last time out, with Jack Butland replacing Vicente Guaita in goal, Conor Gallagher and Will Hughes returning in midfield and Jean-Philippe Mateta coming in up top.

James McArthur, Jeffrey Schlupp and Jordan Ayew all drop to the bench for Patrick Vieira's side.

Crystal Palace XI: Butland, Clyne, Andersen, Guehi, Mitchell, Hughes, Gallagher, Kouyate, Zaha, Olise, Mateta.

Tottenham are unchanged from the side that won at Manchester City last-time out.

That means Harry Kane starts, despite hurting his back against City.

Tottenham Hotspur XI: Lloris, Romero, Dier, Davies, Emerson, Hojbjerg, Bentancur, Sessegnon, Kulusevski, Son, Kane.

Subs: Doherty, Reguilon, Sanchez, Winks, Rodon, Bergwijn, Lucas Moura, Austin, White.

  9. 'We have to win all our games' to win titlepublished at 18:26 Greenwich Mean Time 23 February 2022

    Liverpool v Leeds (19:45 GMT)

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp says his side must win every game for the rest of the season to pip Manchester City to the Premier League title.

Watch his pre-match news conference above.

Here's how it looks at the top and bottom of the table. It is a big opportunity for Liverpool to close the gap on Manchester City but a win is far from guaranteed against a Leeds side that is a danger in attack....

... and here's how it looks at the bottom. Things could get even tighter if Watford and Burnley manage to pick up wins from their games this evening.

Wind the clock back to December and there were reports, external about the title race being as good as over.

But just a couple of months later it is very much alive and kicking. If Liverpool beat Leeds tonight they will be just three points behind leaders Manchester City.

It is not just at the top where things are interesting with the fight to stay in the Premier League all set up to be tight and unpredictable.

It is tasty at the top and tense at the bottom.
