Rangers pressed Dortmund and forced errors. Dortmund were very narrow, and so when Rangers spread the play, they couldn't deal with Rangers' legs and attacking intent. It's taken two quality goals to break Rangers down. In contrast Rangers looked dangerous every time they went forward.

  2. Eight changes for Celticpublished at 19:51 Greenwich Mean Time 17 February 2022

    Celtic v Bodo/Glimt (20:00)

Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou has made eight changes to the side that defeated Raith Rovers in the Scottish Cup.

The three players who keep their places are goalkeeper Joe Hart, defender Cameron Carter-Vickers and midfielder Tom Rogic.

That means Daizen Maeda is the only goalscorer from that 4-0 win to start, with Liam Scales, Giorgos Giakoumakis and Nir Bitton all dropping to the bench.

We knew Rangers would have to be at their best to get something and, to a man, they were incredible. Four good goals. The shine comes off a tiny bit with the second Dortmund goal, because it keeps the tie alive. It was an outstanding performance away from home against a European giant. They deserve all the plaudits that they will get.

  6. FULL-TIME Borussia Dortmund 2-4 Rangerspublished at 90+5 mins

    An incredible result for Rangers!

That must rank as one of the best Scottish displays in Europe.

James Tavernier got the ball rolling with a penalty and Alfredo Morelos added another before the interval.

There were some stunning goals in the second half, with John Lundstram curling in a cracker, while an offside decision was overruled for the visitors' fourth.

It's not over yet though, with a second leg to come at Ibrox next week.

We've seen some good goals in this game, but I think that one takes it. Guerreiro cuts inside onto his left foot and it's a sensational strike. It goes past McGregor before he can set himself.
