Southampton have had a lot of joy down the left-hand side in the first-half. That was the source for Stuart Armstrong’s goal.
But Newcastle - although not as smooth as they have been in recent weeks - will take comfort in Chris Wood finally getting off the mark, and with exactly the sort of goal they’d anticipated they’d get from him. Attacked the ball brilliantly from Jonjo Shelvey’s cross.
Leeds 0-1 Aston Villa
Superb save by Illan Meslier.
John McGinn cuts in from the left and curls a low effort towards the far corner. Meslier sees it late but manages to dive across and push behind.

Chelsea
The future of European champions Chelsea is uncertain after the sanctions were placed on Russian owner Roman Abramovich.
The billionaire has been in charge since 2003 but had his attempts to sell the club halted by the UK government, who have frozen his assets.
What does it mean for Chelsea's fans, players and staff? BBC Sport explains how the situation will affect those associated with the club.
Leeds 0-1 Aston Villa
Strong early 2000s Leeds vibes in the stands where David O'Leary and Mark Viduka are watching on.
How Leeds could do with prime Viduka leading their line today.

Once Norwich gave Chelsea that start, with Trevoh Chalobah's comfortable header, from then on they conceded chance after chance. Mason Mount scored with a quality strike but it could have been a lot more.
Against this Chelsea defence, if you give them a two-goal start it is always going to be difficult.
Leeds 0-1 Aston Villa
Stuart Dallas' cross is deflected behind for Leeds' first corner of the game. Jack Harrison drives the ball in low but fails to beat the first man. Poor.
Leeds 0-1 Aston Villa
Douglas Luiz goes for goal with a free kick but Illan Meslier is able to palm away.
Leeds have not looked like scoring yet and Jesse Marsch is striding up and down his touchline looking very angry.
Southampton 1-1 Newcastle United
Level at the break as Chris Wood's first Newcastle goal cancels out Stuart Armstrong's opener.
Southampton 1-1 Newcastle United
Big chance for Joe Willock on the stroke of half time as he heads it over the bar from close range. He was stretching and the cross was just too high for him!

The usual old cliche is a team is 'too good to go down' whereas this season there are 5 teams that are 'too bad to stay up' and two of them will!
Tom, London
Wolves 3-0 Watford
An excellent half as far as Wolves are concerned but dreadful for Watford.
Who could blame any away fan thinking of making an early dart home?

Bit concerned about Newcastle's midfield tonight. Not having Joelinton in there breaking up play is a massive loss. I want Bruno to play, but perhaps at Shelvey's expense would have been better? Romeu bossing the centre of the park at the minute.
Rannie, Norwich
Norwich 0-2 Chelsea
Boos at Carrow Road. Norwich have been poor, Chelsea have been good and are clearly not bothered by the off-field situation.
Norwich 0-2 Chelsea
Oooh. A bit too casual at the back from Chelsea.
Kenny McLean intercepts in the box but his touch is too heavy and it pokes out for a goal kick.
Leeds 0-1 Aston Villa
Oooh a let off for Leeds as Illan Meslier hits his clearance straight at Ollie Watkins but it catches the Aston Villa striker unawares and he can't control before Meslier is able to recover and clear the danger.

Big Benn: Chelsea academy always comes to the rescue in difficult times. Transfer ban - academy helped to secure CL. Roman sanctioned - academy players score two early goals. Future is still bright.
Leeds 0-1 Aston Villa
No shots on or off target yet for Leeds with Aston Villa firmly in control and they have quietened the Elland Road crowd.
Southampton 1-1 Newcastle United
Southampton have definitely had the better chances. James Ward-Prowse curls an excellent ball in which is aimed at Che Adams. He would have had a clear header on goal had Dan Burn not got the slightest of touches to flick it just past him and out for a corner.
Wolves 3-0 Watford
You'd expect a Roy Hodgson side to be well organised but Watford have been all over the place in this half. They just seem to panic every time Wolves come forward and Samir is booked as he shoulder barges Raul Jimenez to the floor.
