    Chelsea 1-2 Brentford

Three goals in six second-half minutes after a first half in which it looked like a goal would never come. Brilliant entertainment at Stamford Bridge, although the home fans might not agree.

  2. CLOSE!published at 16:14 British Summer Time 2 April 2022

End to end action at Elland Road.

Now it's Southampton's turn to have a go again but Ibrahima Diallo's drive from range is straight at Illan Meslier.

A wee bit questionable to suggest that someone who (very successfully) managed a club of the stature of Glasgow Rangers isn't good enough to manage Aston Villa.

    Dave, Dunblane

Bob 16:01 Lazy criticism when there’s plenty of good managers in Scotland and many from the SPL who’ve made it abroad too. Maybe the issue isn’t with Scotland but with English managers who haven’t won a league title in their own country for 30 years!

    Anon

Tom Sharpe: For clarity, Villa have been inconsistent all season under 2 different managers. That should tell you it's the players, not the manager

    Burnley 0-2 Man City

Rodri gives it away to Maxwel Cornet in the middle but there's too many players around and Burnley can't capitalise. Charlie Taylor eventually stabs it out for a throw-in.

  6. CLOSE!published at 16:12 British Summer Time 2 April 2022

    Leeds 1-1 Southampton

Swift Leeds break forward and Rodrigo pulls the ball back for Raphinha, but the Brazilian leans back and strikes his shot over from 15 yards out.

It’s David Beckham technique – it’s like James Ward-Prowse has inherited his ability.

    Christian Eriksen (54 mins)

    Extraordinary scenes in this game!

Brentford score a second in quick succession to complete an amazing turnaround and it is Christian Eriksen who continues his scoring run.

The visitors break after a Chelsea attack and Bryan Mbeumo spots Eriksen in space inside the box and the Denmark midfielder makes no mistake.

    Chelsea 1-1 Brentford

    Phil McNulty
BBC Sport chief football writer at Stamford Bridge

Brentford did not deserve to be behind - and they were not behind for very long. What a strike by Vitaly Janelt in response to Antonio Rudiger's thunderbolt. The Bees fans loved that.

    Burnley 0-2 Man City

Phil Foden gets away down the left and almost picks out Raheem Sterling but it's poked away.

It falls to Kyle Walker but his shot is comfortably saved by Nick Pope.

    Chelsea 1-1 Brentford

    Dion Dublin
Former Premier League striker on Football Focus

I don’t know how far Antonio Rudiger was out – it has to be 35 yards.

He catches it nicely and purely. What a strike!

  12. Ward-Prowse makes it look easypublished at 16:09 British Summer Time 2 April 2022

    Leeds 1-1 Southampton

    Phil Dawkes
    BBC Sport at Elland Road

You simply can't give James Ward-Prowse a sniff of a free-kick anywhere near the box. The midfielder makes it look routine as he curls his effort from 25 yards over the wall and into the net.

That has changed the complexion of this now and it is the Saints fans on their feet singing. Nervy times for the home fans, who are recognising the signs of the tide having turned.

  13. CLOSE!published at 16:08 British Summer Time 2 April 2022

    Burnley 0-2 Man City

Oooft. City switch it over to Joao Cancelo on the left. He picks out Phil Foden, who flicks it on at the near post and almost beats Nick Pope.

A few moments later, Ilkay Gundogan thumps one towards Pope, who parries it behind well for a corner.

  14. CLOSE!published at 16:08 British Summer Time 2 April 2022

    Leeds 1-1 Southampton

Southampton now on top and could have had a quick fire second but Armando Broja clips just wide from Valentino Livramento's low cross towards the near post.

But Chelsea's lead lasts barely a minute!

Vitaly Janelt is picked out by Bryan Mbeumo before driving a shot into the roof of the net.

  17. goal

GOAL - Chelsea 1-0 Brentfordpublished at 16:05 British Summer Time 2 April 2022

    Antonio Rudiger (48 mins)

    What a goal!

Incredible stuff from Antonio Rudiger as he opens the scoring in some style. The defender is over 30 yards out but in loads of space and hits a thunderous effort beyond the dive of David Raya and in off the post.

    Stunner.

  18. goal

GOAL - Leeds 1-1 Southamptonpublished at 16:05 British Summer Time 2 April 2022

    James Ward-Prowse

What a beauty, James Ward-Prowse does it again.

The England international steps up from 25 yards and there is only one place this is going, into the top corner of the net.

Illan Meslier gets a fingertip on it, but he wasn't going to keep it out.

  20. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 16:03 British Summer Time 2 April 2022

A change at the break from Sean Dyche. Maxwel Cornet is on for Dwight McNeil.
