Brendan Rodgers says Wesley Fofana was fasting for the first day of Ramadan.
"He has not eaten or drank all day and to put a performance in like that is incredible. He played right the way through and showed his mental strength."

Paul Emeka Kalu: Seems Arsenal is destined for this top four.
I'd question whether Arsenal are champions league material but at least they'd have some chance. Spurs and Man Utd have none.

Leicester boss Brendan Rodgers tells BBC Sport: "If you come here and play that well, their keeper made a great save and we had a good move for the goal that was disallowed. Harsh but Raphael Varane has used his experience.
"We have had so much go against us this season but the frustration is inconsistency. It (Scott McTominay challenge) could have been (a red card). We had one earlier this season with Ayoze Perez and were punished on the night. Very inconsistent.
"With the ball our positioning and movement was good, we found spaces and got into some good areas and were calm on the ball. We defended well and we are back to the consistency of the last few years."

Manchester United
Manchester United manager Ralf Rangnick, speaking to BBC Match of the Day: “If I look at the whole game, I think the draw is OK. In the last 15 minutes we tried – we had two or three really good opportunities to score the winning goal, but so did they.”
On Marcus Rashford: “It was a difficult time for him. I had to decide between two options and I think I decided for the one that gave us more stability in midfield, which was true until the goal.”
On Harry Maguire: “I think he played well. I decided for him to play on the right side of defence after seeing him play for England there. For me, it was a solid performance from him.”
On United's next manager: “I don’t know. I think I’m the wrong person to ask. I suppose the board is speaking with some potential new managers, but I can’t help you on that right now.”
On their top four hopes: “As long as it’s mathematically possible, we’ll try to win as many games as possible. Obviously after dropping two points our position isn’t better after this result. It’s our obligation to finish the season on the best possible note. We need to prepare for Everton next weekend and hopefully win that.”

Manchester United
Manchester United manager Ralf Rangnick tells Sky Sports: "The second half was the better one, we were struggling to find the rhythm in the first half possibly because of the international break. We gave away a goal on a transitional moment but the reaction after was good and scored a goal. In the end we are not happy with the result but the second half was OK.
"The only one we had was Marcus Rashford. We knew this morning Cristiano could not play and decided to start Paul Pogba. After 60 minutes we made the change and had a central striker on the pitch.
"It is no secret that he was not full of confidence in the last couple of weeks. In training he is looking well but it was a question between Paul and Marcus, we went with Paul.
"The reaction of our supporters and they are the best in England. Harry Maguire had a flawless game defensively and offensively. He prefers to play on the left side but I decided he should play on the right after seeing him for England and as a right-footed player is makes it easy to play.
"Luke Shaw has problems with his leg with a former injury.
"In the last 15 minutes we tried to score a goal but in this game we did not score the late goal. We don't have the offensive players and even Jesse Lingard was feeling sick.
"As long as it (top four) is possible mathematically, it is possible. It is our job and duty to do our best to finish of the best on the best possible note.
"The picture for me is clear, internally we spoke about it but there is nothing else I can say at this stage."

Manchester United
Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes, speaking to Sky Sports: “We all know we need points. Today it was not enough. We created some chances but the last option was not the best. We have to look forward and win our own games.
“Everyone gave everything. I don’t believe there’s anyone who didn’t give everything in the game. Nobody lacked intensity. We have to keep fighting. We know our chances. As I said before, we have to keep looking at our own games.”
On United's system: “It’s something we’ve done already against City and it worked really well in the first half. Today I thought it was working – we had chances and were compact. Leicester didn’t have many chances in the first half. It’s something that sometimes you have to use. It’s something that has to suit the team. It’s not about one player or two. We have to be there for the team.
On Harry Maguire's reception: “It’s tough that your own country boos you in a game for the national team. It’s maybe a little bit because of the media. It wasn’t because of his performance – he played really well in that game. Sometimes the media should think a little bit more when they do some things.”
On his new contract: “I spoke with the club. Obviously with the conversations we had I saw that the future can be better than now, has to be better than now. The club will be back to the glory days, that’s why I committed to the club.”

Leicester City
Leicester manager Brendan Rodgers tells Sky Sports: "I thought we were very good in large spells of the game. We started well and could have bene precise with out passing but in the main the positioning and movement was good. The second half we scored a couple of great goals, their keeper makes a great save and we are bitterly disappointed not to get the goal.
"Raphael Varane has used his experience, he gets the contact and goes down. There were opportunities for them to clear it but we were deserving of that.
"Every week we are seeing this types of actions, we felt we deserved to win the game.
"We had one in the season when Ayoze Perez was sent off, that one was similar, the ball gets way he has to make a challenge. We got the yellow.
"Jonny Evans' calf tightened up after the international game but I was very happy with the team and back to where we have been the last few years. Playing good football and looking a threat.
"It was a good performance away here, disappointed to not win and that is always a good sign. The football was very good but we passed it well a lot of the time and got into some good areas. But for a decision, we would have won the game."

Leicester City
Leicester City midfielder James Maddison, speaking to Sky Sports: “The disallowed goal is one of them – you see them given and you see them not given. I’m obviously going to be biased and say it’s not a foul. As soon as he goes over to the monitor you know.
“I saw Varane go down. The way he went down I thought it was a twist injury. As soon as the referee went to the monitor I knew something was going to happen that was going to spoil my party.
“The performance was good. We stamped our authority and we come away a little disappointed that we didn’t get three points. We could have got more from the game. They scored so quickly after us, which got Old Trafford bouncing again and got them pushing as the home team.
“I thought we were dominant in the first half. Sometimes you can almost feel in control even without the ball. They obviously played with Bruno and Pogba without a recognised striker. They’ve got tricky players in wide areas, but I felt we were in control. We were actually the better team.”
On Leicester's first goal: “It was my rubbish corner which came back out, but I saw Keli [Iheanacho] free at the far post and there was that corridor for me to whip it in. He attacked it and finished it brilliantly.”
On his form: “It’s just about showing more consistency and affecting games more. My numbers have always been good, it’s just about finding the consistency. I’m feeling really good, really confident, and I’m going into games with that confidence.”
On his World Cup ambitions: “As an English player, the World Cup is the pinnacle. I always think what I can do better to get into the squad. All I can do is keep playing the way I’m playing.”

I understand what people are saying about the problem of an interim manager for the United players morale but at the end of the day they should be able to perform no matter what, look at Di Matteo at Chelsea managed to win a champions league as interim manager. The problems at United run deeper than the manager, too many players have been able to coast on big wages for too long. I fear even Ten Haag or Poch won't be able to fix them, there needs to be wholesale change.
