Steven Gerrard looking every inch a Scottish Premier League manager. When will people start to question his appointment? Utterly out of his depth, his Villa have been awful for months.

BBC Radio 5 Live commentator at Stamford Bridge
Brentford were brilliant early on, but Chelsea gathered some momentum before the break. They’ve not had the swagger you’d expect from a team in such sublime form though.
The other thing to note is that Stamford Bridge is packed. It’s not easy to spot spare seats. Remember the club aren’t able to sell tickets for home matches in the Premier League, so only season-ticket holders and those who’d already bought them could attend today.
HT: Leeds 1-0 Southampton
Phil Dawkes
BBC Sport at Elland Road
Leeds started the half really well and got the goal that separates these two sides, but nobody in this ground thinks this game is over by a long, long way.
Southampton came back into it and posed plenty of problems as that half wore on. They will feel they can create the chances to hurt the home side.
On a light note, Luke Ayling took a ball to the face and ended up sprawled out like he'd just been clocked on the chin by Josh Warrington. He immediately got to his feet with a big grin on his face. Never anything but entertaining the Leeds full-back, as anyone who witnessed his celebration at Wolves last week can attest.
FT: Liverpool 2-0 Watford
Liverpool
Liverpool defender Joe Gomez speaking on BT Sport: "It's the nature of the Premier League that games are not going to be easy. They put up a good fight, we knew they would be organised and well-drilled and they definitely made it tough right till the end,"
On his desire for more starts: "Trent [Alexander-Arnold] is a top class player and obviously you know what he brings to the side. Playing right-back is not naturally my normal position but the nature of being at this club is that we are fighting for all competitions. It's a tough environment to be in but we have to push each other each week. We have to train well and wait for opportunities."
HT: Wolves 2-0 Aston Villa

Aston Villa should be rushing into the dressing room to get their expected rollicking Gary McAllister and Steven Gerrard.
They have been poor.
Wolves have been superb, interchanging brilliantly.
The front three have been clever, decisive and speedy.
FT: Liverpool 2-0 Watford
Liverpool
Liverpool goalscorer Diogo Jota speaking to BT Sport: “It was the beginning of a new cycle today. It's not easy to play an early kick-off with people coming back from all over the world but we did our job.
"I told Joe [Gomez] before the game he was going to get an assist. Against Nottingham [Forest] I had a few crosses from him that I didn’t know what to expect. Today I was confident and fortunately it happened for us.
"At the beginning of the season, we wanted to be fighting for all competitions. That’s why we're playing a lot of games and we will be ready."
FT: Liverpool 2-0 Watford
Watford
Watford keeper Ben Foster to BT Sport: "Testament to the lads in front of me [that Liverpool didn't have a load of chances]. We restricted them to few chances. We were happy with the performance. Anfield is a tough place to come.
On the penalty: "They [those fouls] happen quite a lot in football. What irks me is nobody has appealed for it and it's like they tried to find something. When Watford have something like that against the big boys they're not trying to find it. But you can't go rugby tackling people like that."
On Diogo Jota's goal: "Somebody has to stop his run. He can't be allowed to run into the box like that."
"We had chances. The big boys take their chances and hold on.
"We've got some massive games coming up. They're our bread and butter."
HT: Burnley 0-2 Man City

James McFadden
Former Scotland forward on BBC Radio 5 Live
Manchester City have been dominant, the two goals were sensational.
Burnley have had no answer to it.
City are in cruise control and I expect it to stay like that.
FT: Liverpool 2-0 Watford
Watford
Watford boss Roy Hodgson to BBC Sport: "I'm still annoyed about the penalty. There were no appeal from Liverpool players. Neither Jurgen nor I saw anything untoward. Suddenly the game is stopped for a VAR check. We're all looking at each other asking what is there a VAR check for? Surely that's not what VAR is for. It leaves a bitter taste.
"We had a slim chance [at 1-0] but we weren't without effort to score. To lose 2-0 leaves a bitter taste in my mouth. I'd have been happier at 1-0. We put on a good perfornace.
"We created some chances. No doubt Liverpool must have felt they were in a game. They had to play the good football they've been playing. With a bit more cmposure we might have created more chances.
"There was a lot there we can take forward. We have to take anything good into our last games. We've got more to give. Liverpool are one hell of a pressurising team.
"Before the next game I'm going to be reminded Watford don't win at home. My message will be there's no reason we can't win at home. We do have this spectre hanging over us where people want us to believe we're OK away from home and bad at home. Somehow we have to make sure it doesn't affect us.
"The spirit is good. That was shown in today's performance and the last one against Southampton. They are prepared to work hard enough. We just need to produce the quality football to score the goals."
Wolves 2-0 Aston Villa
Wolves head into the break ahead and in control. They were punished at 2-0 in their last game, though, so know they can't relax.
FT: Liverpool 2-0 Watford
Liverpool
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp speaking to BT Sport: “I’m not interested in analysis. We had to get through this today. When you have to dominate a game, it’s more difficult. Big compliments to Watford and to Roy. Probably we’ll bring him back when he’s 80 and he’ll set up team that's organised in a really good way and closes down the spaces.
"We needed maturity, desire and our counter-press was the best it's been for a long time but we could have been slightly more creative. We scored two goals, controlled the game, needed Ali once and that’s it. There" was not a lot from Watford except for counter-attacks. We were in control and that’s why I’m really happy.
On the impact of Joe Gomez as stand-in at right-back: "I had banter with Trent on the bench after Joe's cross for the goal and said: "It’s not him, it’s just the position!" The cross was outstanding from Joe. He did well defensively and offensively so he should be really happy about it. It’s not his favourite position - that's centre-back where he is an outstanding player and it’s very helpful that he can play right-back as well."
Meanwhile, here's reaction from Liverpool's win over Watford at lunchtime.
Chelsea 0-0 Brentford
Brentford will welcome the whistle as Chelsea had finally woken up after a very slow start.
