Brentford may not get many chances this afternoon so they must take them when they come. They will hope they do not live to regret Ivan Toney's failure to grasp that big early opportunity.
Not sure what Chelsea keeper Edouard Mendy was doing but he did well to then save from Toney with a second opening.
Bright start from The Bees.They are on top.

Wolves are hungry for more goals as Fabio Silva draws a good save out of Emiliano Martinez.

The travelling City fans were in good voice anyway but they are making even more noise now - bellowing out 'City, City, the best team in the land and all the world' and 'Glad all over we've got Guardiola'.
The Burnley supporters, not so much. Somewhere below me, a lone voice is shouting 'Come on Burnley' but, otherwise, silence.

It's fair to say City have not felt the pressure of Liverpool's win at all. They are leading 1-0 and Burnley haven't had the ball really. We're barely eight minutes in!
They have another chance here too as Rodri smacks one from the edge of the box which stings the gloves of Nick Pope. He needed to save that!

Brentford have started really well with Ivan Toney lobbing just over the goal with Edouard Mendy way off his line before the Chelsea goalkeeper gets down to push behind Toney's low effort at the near post.
Leeds 0-0 Southampton
Backed by a boisterous crowd, Leeds are terrific going forward and Raphinha has space down the left edge of the box but a cross-come-shot is straight at Fraser Forster.
Brighton 0-0 Norwich
First sighter at the Amex but Neal Maupay blazes over from range.
Never looked like troubling Tim Krul.

Perfect start for the hosts in the derby!
Aston Villa give the ball away just inside the Wolves half and the hosts charge forward before Daniel Podence and Fabio Silva both have shots blocked but Jonny makes it third time lucky as he volleys in.

Coming into this game, Manchester City would have been expecting Liverpool to win.
But the fact Liverpool have gone top of the league puts a bit of added pressure on this game and I am sure we will see City respond.
Leeds 0-0 Southampton
It's a breath-taking start at Elland Road by Leeds, peppering the Southampton goal with shot after shot.
In the end, Matheusz Klich's side-footed effort from the edge of the area is blocked...by his own man Raphinha.

This is a really decent effort from Josh Brownhill!
It's whipped in early from the right and he fires a dangerous header inches past the left post.
Leeds 0-0 Southampton
England right-back Kyle Walker-Peters starts on the opposite flank today for Southampton.
And it's a big let-off for the visitors early doors as Diego Llorente has a free run on Jack Harrison's corner but puts it the wrong side of the post.

Christian Eriksen, who had a dream return to international action with goals in both of Denmark's games recently, sends a free kick over the bar for the visitors.
Set pieces are likely to be Brentford's best opportunity to score.

It's very obvious how Burnley are setting up. They are all behind the halfway line in an organised 4-5-1 shape off the ball.
City, as expected, have all the possession in the first few minutes.
