Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp to BBC Sport: "I really think it was a performance there in the right moments. The first goal was really nice play.
"Credit to Watford and to Roy. He can really organise the team. Everybody knew what place he had to close to make it difficult.
"We could have done better but after two weeks not together and the early kick-off it's really tricky. But all teams have the same problems.
"I don't think after the international break I ever see the best game of the season.
"We were very mature and very controlled."
On the penalty: "I didn't see it back. I couldn't see it on the pitch. There were players in between us and the ball. If it's a foul that's what VAR is there for. It shouldn't be everything is allowed in the box just because the player didn't get the ball."
On Joe Gomez: "Top. He set up the goal and had another brilliant cross in the second half which could have been a goal. How can you replace Trent Alexander Arnold? I didn't ask him to play like Trent, I said play like Joe Gomez. He's an outstanding player. He will have more games towards the end of the season.
"Jota is top. He's really decisive. Great cross, great header.
"Big two months hopefully. This week can decide a lot about how May will be. The boys created a top-class basis and now we have to use it. It's a tricky one. There's a reason why it's so difficult to win one trophy. Take it game by game. Take it 100% in each game. Hopefully keep all the boys fit and make changes between games. The Premier League is the most important competition."

An extra bonus for the Leeds fans here. Their very own Josh Warrington has just been introduced to show off his recently reclaimed IBF featherweight title.
The song to accompany him... Eye of the Tiger of course.
Just in case you missed it, here are the highlights of his victory over Kiko Martinez...

Kai Havertz fronts the Chelsea matchday programme, and Thomas Tuchel’s forward line again today.
Romelu Lukaku has only started four Premier League games since the turn of the year. You can guarantee his latest omission will certainly prompt further questions about his long-term future.

This is as good a Villa team as I’ve seen in years. I think they’re going to win things going forward, and Jacob Ramsey will obviously play a major part in that.
He’s definitely on the radar with England. The sky’s the limit with him. He’s got everything in his game.

Working with someone like Steven Gerrard will help Jacob Ramsey no end. His performances were good before Gerrard went to Aston Villa, but the level Gerrard played at for Liverpool was because of the standards he put on himself and other players around him.
That'll be more important than anything else in Ramsey's development.

I've not met a Wolves fan so far who thinks they'll win this one. Olly and Mike outside the Doug Ellis Stand couldn't see them scoring with no Raul Jimenez or Ruben Neves. They can't see a win, but added that Villa can be a bit hit and miss.
They're testing the Pyrotechnics here ahead of kick off, you can feel the warmth from the giant flames. Teams out is always a special moment at Molineux. They do it properly. It's one of those sunny crisp days where some fans are in short sleeves, and some have got the big coat on.

Burnley have only won three games all season, but you look at their fixtures and they play Everton, Norwich and Watford. That's three wins there.
If they can win those games they can get out of trouble.

It’s been a while since Manchester City had to play catch up - until now, they had not been off the top of the table, even for an hour or two, since they beat Watford on 4 December, 119 days ago.
At least the sun is out at Turf Moor, and the stats are definitely on the visitors’ side. Since Pep Guardiola became City boss in 2016 they have won 13 out of 14 games with the Clarets - drawing the other one - while scoring 44 goals and conceding only five.

People will be looking at Antonio Rudiger for sure. He has done exceptionally well, especially since Thomas Tuchel has come into Chelsea.
But this is a German international, you can’t be too surprised Rudiger is a good player. There will be Premier League interest.
I think Brentford have a big enough cushion, I don’t expect them to lose every game between now and the end of the season.
Credit to them because there was a point in the season where they were sliding hard down the table.

Sun is shining on Stamford Bridge and all is relatively quiet inside the stadium right now. There remains the evidence of the sanctiions taken against Roman Abramovich that are having an impact on the club. The normally bustling souvenir stalls and the giant merchandise shop remain shut.

Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel says there is a "very high probability" captain Cesar Azpilicueta will stay at the club.
But the boss did admit Chelsea's "hands are tied" over Antonio Rudiger's future.
BBC Sport columnist Guillem Balague said Barcelona had been in talks with Azpilicueta.
They reportedly met with Rudiger's agents , externalearlier this week.
However, Azpilicueta has triggered a one-year extension in his contract.
"It's a good thing," said Tuchel. "It's good news for us."

What Leeds wouldn't give for this midfield in its prime right now. This is the quarter of Gary Speed, David Batty, Gary McAllister and Gordon Strachan (with ex-manager Howard Wilkinson in the middle) that played such a huge role in helping United win the last first division title before the English top-flight became the Premier League in 1992. The mural is on the bridge at the end of Lowfields Road, just before you reach Elland Road.
Fun fact - Wilkinson remains the last Englishman to win the country's top-flight title.

It's an intriguing game this with Leeds improving under new boss Jesse Marsch and Southampton having lost 4 games in a row.
No Patrick Bamford for Leeds makes this harder and the Saints may feel they have a good chance of victory.

Saints arrive at Elland Road in the middle of a wobble. The three defeats they have suffered on the trot of late comes after a run of just two losses in the previous 13 games.
Last season, after a first half of the campaign that pretty much secured their place in the division, Ralph Hasenhuttl's team dropped off alarmingly in the second half, losing 15 of their last 21 games.
With an FA Cup loss to Man City also in their recent run of losses, Saints are under threat of losing five successive matches in all competitions for the first time since November to December 2014 under Ronald Koeman.
However, they also arrive here with a couple of potential personal milestones in the offing. James Ward-Prowse is one short of becoming the second person to record 100 Premier League wins with Southampton, emulating Jason Dodd (105). Meanwhile, Armando Broja could become the first Southampton player to score home and away against Leeds in the same league campaign since Paul Rideout in 1990-91.

Manchester City do not have an out and out centre-forward.
To do as well as they have done is amazing, but if they had a centre-forward it is going to make them better.
They would have more goals, they would have more points, they would be more potent.

It looks like Manchester City have the better run of fixtures compared to Liverpool, but they have two games against Atletico Madrid in the Champions League in there too.
It’s a tough run initially for City, but after that it’s a kinder run of fixtures than for Liverpool.
