Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta speaking to Sky Sports: "We know what to expect. They have been really difficult to beat here against the big teams and they drew with Manchester City. They are really difficult to break down and to control.

"We can only perform, do our best and win our next matches. That is our focus. We have to do our job and perform at our highest level."

Emile Smith Rowe and Bukayo Saka are Arsenal's leading league scorers with nine goals each.

Nicolas Anelka, with 17 in 1998-99, is the only player aged 21 or under to reach double figures in Premier League goals for the club in a single campaign.

Can Smith Rowe or Saka repeat the feat?

  9. Gunners success on the roadpublished at 19:34 British Summer Time 4 April 2022

Crystal Palace v Arsenal (20:00 BST)

    Momentum is with Arsenal.

They have won each of their last five Premier League away games.

That's their longest sequence of away wins in the same campaign since January and May 2002.

They are just one victory off their overall tally of 18 league wins in the Premier League last season too.

If they get that win tonight - or a draw - they would overtake rivals Spurs once again to jump back to fourth spot.

The two teams are currently level on points but Spurs have a two-goal advantage.

Crystal Palace have won just one of their last nine Premier League games against Arsenal (D5, L3).

The Eagles have triumphed in only four of the 43 league encounters overall.

Arsenal's only defeat in 16 league meetings at Palace came in a Monday night game in April 2017.

  13. Plenty of optimism for Palacepublished at 19:23 British Summer Time 4 April 2022

Crystal Palace v Arsenal (20:00 BST)

Palace have had a good season so far and are playing some really nice football under Patrick Vieira.

They have only lost one of their past 10 matches in all competitions but their home record in 2022 could do with some improvement.

They have failed to win any of their five matches at Selhurst Park this year and in London derbies, they have won only one in the past 17.

There's plenty for Arsenal to be worried about though.

Palace have scored 39 goals in the league this season - only two short of their 2020-21 total.

And in their last Premier League match, they drew 0-0 with Manchester City...

It will be a big ask - but Arsenal head to Crystal Palace later knowing they have a third-place finish in their own hands.

A few weeks ago, Antonio Conte said Arsenal were favourites for a top-four finish, and on Friday Mikel Arteta was asked whether the Tottenham manager was putting pressure on his young side.

“I don’t know. That’s a question for him," Arteta said.

"But what we want to do is very clear, and the perception of what people think is not going to change it."

Asked if he was a boss who likes to engage in mind games, Arteta replied: "I do, but more with my players, I think. To get what I want from them!"

When encouraged to expand, the Spaniard joked: "No! Because they will know what we are doing and that is the whole point."

  18. Can Palace finish season in top 10?published at 19:10 British Summer Time 4 April 2022

Palace are comfortable in mid-table but they will want to secure a top 10 spot.

A win today would take them above Aston Villa having played the same number of games.

They would also be level on points with Leicester and would move into ninth on a superior goal difference. The Foxes would have two games in hand though.

  19. Tierney injury 'not looking good'published at 19:08 British Summer Time 4 April 2022

There's no Kieran Tierney in the Arsenal team because of a knee injury.

"He came back from international duty and felt something wrong in his knee," Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta told Sky Sports.

"There is some damage there. We will hopefully know more on Tuesday but not looking good."

On the fight for the top four, Arteta added: "We can only perform and do our best. That is our focus. We have been talking for weeks that we have to do our job. We will see where it takes us."

  20. 'Arsenal in pole position for top four'published at 19:06 British Summer Time 4 April 2022

Crystal Palace v Arsenal (20:00 BST)

    Chris Sutton
Former Premier League striker on BBC Radio 5 Live

Arsenal are in pole position for that fourth Champions League spot but it is not an easy task for them this evening, coming up against Patrick Vieira - their former player.

I have really enjoyed watching Palace this season, it is a different brand of football and they play on the front foot.

Both sides are in good form, a difficult one to call. I'll be bold though and I think Arsenal will nick it.
