    Arsenal 0-0 Brighton

In 22 minutes you can see Arsenal - attacking to the right here - have done very little in and around the Brighton penalty area.

In truth, there's not a lot of heat on this heatmap.

    Arsenal 0-0 Brighton

    Ahh, what a mess.

It would have been a great chance for Bukayo Saka as it's pulled back from Gabriel Martinelli but Emile Smith Rowe didn't get a shout until late and ended up getting in his way.

Saka has to pull away from the shot and does well to win a corner. The two Arsenal players pat each other on the back. They know that was a chance!

Quality from Raphinha; that is why teams all over the world are looking at this player. An outstanding touch; lined it up perfectly. He places it in the back of the net. Ben Foster has absolutely no chance; what a finish.

    Timo Werner (21 mins)

    Finally!!!

It's probably the toughest chance he's had so far too. Timo Werner is played in behind and he beats Jan Bednarek for pace.

He goes around Fraser Forster then slots it into an empty net. Chelsea are flying!

    Raphinha (20 mins)

A massive goal for Leeds. Samir makes a mess of a clearance for Watford, it falls to Dan James and he slides a pass to Raphinha and it's a brilliant strike from the Brazil international from outside the penalty area.

It goes in off the post, but that's his 10th goal of the season and the visitors lead at Vicarage Road.

Joel Veltman nips in and intercepts a pass to Gabriel Martinelli but gets caught by the Arsenal winger.

    Watford 0-0 Leeds

Watford are having a great spell here. Again the danger comes from a free-kick. Cucho Hernandez, to the left of the penalty area, swings it in and Illan Meslier does well to get a hand on it to push it wide for a corner.

From that, the ball rebounds off Christian Kabasele and Meslier saves it inches from the goalline. It wouldn't have counted anyway though as it bounced off the Watford man's arm.

    Southampton 0-2 Chelsea

The only time Southampton are getting the ball is when Chelsea give it to them. Mason Mount gives it away then immediately sprints back and wins possession again.

Southampton look really up against it.

  11. GREAT SAVE!published at 15:18 British Summer Time 9 April 2022

    Southampton 0-2 Chelsea

How has Timo Werner not scored yet?

It's cut back to him and he tries to slice it into the top of the net from close range. Fraser Forster reacts brilliantly to make an excellent save with his right hand.

In response to Stephen Warnock, yes 3/25 games isn’t good enough but is that really the managers fault? Potter isn’t the one missing the penalties and very simple chances so let’s not berate him for our poor run of form.

    Mason Mount (16 mins)

Chelsea are really up for this.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek controls it on the right and tries to tee up Timo Werner. Kyle Walker-Peters gets a touch on it but only helps it on to Mason Mount.

He strikes it cleanly from the edge of the box and it's into the bottom left corner.

  14. CLOSE!published at 15:16 British Summer Time 9 April 2022

    Watford 0-0 Leeds

Watford's Juraj Kucka gets chopped down by Mateusz Klich and this is a dangerous position for Watford with a free-kick 25 yards out.

It's brilliantly struck by Imran Louza, zipped over the wall and with Leeds goalkeeper Illan Meslier nowhere near it.

Luckily for Leeds and for Meslier, it's just wide. Great strike, so nearly an opening goal at Vicarage Road.

    Arsenal 0-0 Brighton

Arsenal look a bit rusty. Emile Smith Rowe's pass is straight to a Brighton midfielder. It's not been a great match so far.

The home fans get a chant going in an attempt to inject some life.

Leeds have had the majority of the play; Watford are trying to stay resilient and compact, going long with goal kicks and free kicks.

Leeds are trying to play more football.

    Southampton 0-1 Chelsea

Chelsea are still putting pressure on. Fraser Forster messes up a clearance and it's straight to Mateo Kovacic.

Luckily for Forster, it bounces off Kovacic's shin so he can't control it. The Saints keeper was miles off his line and the chip was on.

  20. 'We have to go again'published at 15:11 British Summer Time 9 April 2022

    FT: Everton 1-0 Man Utd

    Everton

Everton manager Frank Lampard, speaking to BBC Match of the Day: "It feels really good. Big win, big day. The reality of our position is clear, you could feel that in the stadium. The fighting spirit and qualities that we showed is big for us. We need to replicate that. If we carry on in the same vein, we’re confident.

"In these situations I’m the biggest advocate of youth and young players, but the balance of the team is important. Experienced players make the big difference. They’ve been around the block. [Fabian] Delph brought that to us with his positional play. [Jordan] Pickford made a save at the end as well – that’s why he’s England’s number one.

"We were due a game where we don’t start so well and get a goal, which was a deflection. It was important the performance went that way today to show the players know how to dig in and win games.

"We should have had points in both games [at Burnley and West Ham]. The easy reaction on the outside is negative. What I learned about myself is that you must be positive, keep the lads positive. The lads are desperate to do well for this club. A mistake here and there is normal. When they fight like they did today, they can do great things.

"We’ve won some games and we haven’t gone again. We’ve got a really tough game coming up at home to Leicester. I’m not sitting here saying everything’s great and we’re fine. We have to go again with the same attitude and get the points we need to stay up."

On Anthony Gordon: "He’s mature. You speak to Anthony for five or ten minutes and you understand that. His attitude is fantastic and his attitude is big. The crowd are drawn to him, not because he’s a local lad but because his attitude is infectious."

On the supporters: "It’s huge. One of the reasons we’re good here is because of the fans. A few groans are normal everywhere. What the fans relate to is the reaction. When they see that, we see this joined up thing at the stadium. We need to replicate that away somehow."
