  1. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 21:03 British Summer Time 16 June 2022

    England 0-0 Belgium

England bring on Rachel Daly, Chloe Kelly and Alex Greenwood for Beth Mead, Demi Stokes and Lotte Wubben-Moy.

A couple of Belgian switches too.

We have become a bit predictable and slow, we don't want to be renowned for that sort of build-up play, we have to mix it up.

Belgium have grown in confidence and been able to get more players forward.

Sarina Wiegman will be pleased, we have dominated possession, we have outshot them and had very good individual performances, we are just lacking that goal.

Belgium are robust, tricky and are not going to concede lightly. They are tough, compact and will defend for their lives.

Can we be ruthless and get our noses in front?

England really need to take these chances. They won't be getting as many opportunities against the likes of Norway in their Euros group. That is what will frustrate Sarina Wiegman. She was quick down the tunnel at half time.

England are showing they have the ability to say in the game, be patient and they are creating chances. Now it is about stepping it up and being clinical.

A lot of our strength is down the right, it is fluid between Lucy Bronze and Beth Mead. They have had to double up on them.

If it stays like this after 60 minutes I would like to see Ella Toone come on in midfield. She can bring a bit of energy and a bit more movement in and around the box.

  6. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:47 British Summer Time 16 June 2022

    England 0-0 Belgium

A load of England chances but no goals as the half-time whistle goes.

    Corner goes over everyone.

Beth Mead overcomplicates it. She gets the ball on the corner of the box as a defender misjudges a header but keeps trying to take on an extra player instead of shooting and runs out of pitch. Corner though.

  9. INJURY TIMEpublished at 45 mins

    England 0-0 Belgium

Rare Belgium chance but Wijnants lifts it over from 20 yards.

    Two minutes added on.

Belgium will be happy to hear the half-time whistle when it comes.

The Arsenal link-up between Beth Mead and Leah Williamson has looked very good down that right-hand side.

England haven't been able to find Lauren Hemp much in the later part of this half though. She's switched across now to see if she can get more involved.

That was a lovely run from Leah Williamson, she went for the dinked finish but Belgium got back on the line to clear.

Oh that was almost a wonderful England goal. Captain Leah Williamson bursts into the box and chips the keeper but there are defenders on the line to clear.

Belgium don't attack much but when they do it's often dangerous. Wullaert's ball is frustratingly in between two Belgian attackers. That could have been a proper chance.

England have gotten away with one. It was awful defending and they were picked off way too easily on the break.

But at the other end Beth Mead was unlucky not to have a penalty. There is no VAR in this friendly but there is at the Euros. That would probably have been overturned and given.

It was clumsy, she has come through Beth Mead and in another game the referee gives that.

Slight penalty appeal for England as Delacauw catches Beth Mead in the box but the referee says no.

It was in the transition where Leah Williamson lost the ball and Belgium attacked with numbers.

Delacauw should not have taken that on the volley and it is a massive warning sign for England.
