There is so much depth in the squad and you have quality like Champions League winner Lucy Bronze.
Demi Stokes is a regular England international so understands the connection with the backline.

Leah Williamson just received the ball in the box from a through ball from Lucy Bronze. I think that tells you everything about her role in what is expected to be a fluid midfield.

If England don't beat those (lower ranked) opposition by that amount of goals then it is a negative. They have been professional, scored a lot of goals, kept clean sheets and that brings confidence.
Now we are starting to play tougher opponents, can it all come together?

Leah Williamson is a young player but has such a mature head on her shoulders, that makes her a good captain, she blends through the whole squad.
She has a calm energy with a little bit of sass, that is what I like and will be interesting to see how she leads the group.

The blend in the squad, there's a lot of experienced players who have been there and done it at tournaments like Jill Scott and Ellen White anf young players who have been performing at club level like Ella Toone and Alessia Russo.
I'm really excited for the game tonight. They've had some good fights against Belgium. With these friendlies they have, they have some really good tests. They're in good form. They're unbeaten under Sarina so it's going to be be a great game.

On the decision to leave Steph Houghton out of the Euros squad...
It's tough. It's a big decision. That's why the manager has been brought in, to make tough decisions.
Steph is the ex-captain and she's been a huge part of England's journey over the last few years. With her injuries it was too soon for her. She did everything she could to get herself into contention but she hasn't had the game minutes.
I'm sure she'll be in touch with the girls. She's a real leader. She'll support them throughout the summer.

England players will wear black armbands in tribute to the passing of manager Sarina Wiegman’s sister.
Wiegman left a training camp at St George’s Park on 6 June to be with family before returning on Monday.
The decision to pay tribute was led by the players and the Football Association said Wiegman was “hugely touched” by it.
“We are very grateful for your ongoing respect for Sarina and her family’s privacy”, the FA added.
England are unbeaten under Sarina Wiegman with nine wins and two draws.
They are averaging 6.5 goals per game (72 goals in 11 games) under the Dutchwoman.
England and Belgium last met in August 2019 in a 3-3 friendly draw in Leuven.
The Lionesses are unbeaten in their last 10 meetings with Belgium, since a 2-1 friendly loss in May 1980.
