Brighton manager Graham Potter: "We were a little frustrated because we felt we deserved more than 2-1 at half-time. Our performance was really good especially in the first half. We had to suffer at the start of the second half but finished better and could have won it. I think credit needs to go to the boys and we'll take the point and be proud of the performance."
On scoring at the Amex for the first time in six games: "Our start was really good. We had a good game here against Norwich last time out but didn’t score so it was important for us all to score and get that away from us. The performance was positive and the crowd responded. I thought Danny [Welbeck] was excellent throughout, threatened and led the line well. I'm pleased for him that he scored."
On pushing to break Brighton's record Premier League points tally: "We are very motivated. We want to get as close to 12 points as we can. That's what we're trying to do. It would be nice to win at home of course, but 41 points is nothing to be ashamed about."

The players come out to a noisy Anfield. This must be one of the biggest mismatches in Merseyside derby history.

Thiago is brilliant when you see someone trying to press him from behind. He knows exactly where he is, he's toying with him; before you know it, there is a drop of the shoulder, a move to the side and he's cleared them. They are the worst players to face.

There’s a dad across the road from The Kop - one of his boys has red on. The other is in blue and has ‘Richarlison’ across his back.
There’s a good chance dad may need to juggle some politics, frustration and gloating tonight.
That’s the way with this one in this city. Some families literally have rules for this day - the things that can and can’t be spoken about.
And - in this remarkable season - it runs deeper. One club on the cusp of glory and the other staring an unthinkable relegation in the face. It will be hostile, it will be charged and it will be eventful.
Goodness knows how that dad will handle the night to come.

It's a derby, so this will be absolutely manic. The game will start at 100 miles per hour and the tackles will be flying in, they always are.
But, whatever the scenario and however hard they work, any away team at Anfield needs some quality to get anything from the game.
Everton have shown some signs of improvement in their past two games but, defensively, I still don't think they have what it takes to keep Liverpool out.
There are 47 points separating the two teams in the table, which illustrates the current gulf in class.
Lawro's prediction: 2-0

The issue for Everton is you can't see Liverpool not turning up. They need to win this game, even a draw isn't good enough.
You can't imagine they'll turn up with their foot off the gas.

Liverpool have lost just once in 25 games against Everton in all competitions, a 2-0 defeat in this Premier League fixture last season.
The Toffees are aiming for back-to-back away league wins at Liverpool for the first time since February 1986.
Everton have won just three times in 29 Premier League visits to Anfield (D12, L14).

Wolves boss Bruno Lage speaking to BBC Match of the Day: "I'm disappointed because I've seen this game too many times. Different to Newcastle, but we were the better team and played well, we played the way we should. But we didn't score one goal and one mistake and we concede a goal.
"We came here and we controlled everything, with the ball, the spaces and we did well between the lines, but sometimes it is hard in the final third. We are not scoring goals; I'm happy with the players' work, but in terms of putting teams in a different level, the European level, we can't score goals."

[The Merseyside derby] has to be a battle, a fight, with closing down and intensity. If Everton are going to get anything, they're going to have to try and get as much of the 'derby feeling' into the game. If they try and play football, they will get beat because they are not as good as Liverpool. It is not beyond the bounds of possibility.
Liverpool are favourites, but a couple of decent results have changed things a little for Everton. The defeats have been tight defeats. Frank Lampard has got more of a feeling from his squad; they need to bring passion, and if Liverpool have an off day, then who knows?

Jurgen Klopp says he "expected Liverpool to be better" this season but admits he was not anticipating challenging for an unprecedented quadruple.
The Reds needed a five-game winning run at the end of last season just to qualify for the Champions League and they have maintained their form in spectacular fashion this campaign.
"It was a difficult situation last year and it was really special to make the Champions League," said Klopp.
"There were moments when we thought 'hopefully we don't have to play in the Conference League' and we did not know what would happen.
"But we qualified in spectacular manner - it was a bad year but we still managed to come third.
"It's normal you intensify all efforts after that, which is what we did."

Ben Godfrey was injured during the warm-up. I wonder if he'll be too sad to miss out on 90 minutes of trying to stop Mohamed Salah and co.

More from Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel, speaking to Sky Sports about reports Antonio Rudiger has decided to leave the club: "Toni, the media is on it. The situation is that he wants to leave the club. He informed me of this is in a private talk.
"We gave everything - me and the club - but we could not fight anymore because of the actions. Without the sanctions we would at least be able to carry on fighting, but out hands are tied. We don't take it personally. It is his decision.
"He is a key figure and will stay that way until the end of the season. But it is disappointing. We will miss him a lot. He gives courage in the dressing room. The kind everyone is afraid of, but the kind to play 50-55 games at an outstanding level. He is a top defender in the last one and a half years for me. We then need to find another solution."

Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel to Sky Sports: "It seemed a bit stuck. But we knew it. It can feel like this against West Ham who defend with a lot of bodies and discipline. We have to wait for the moments. We had some accelerations with Mason from midfield but nobody was joining. It felt stuck. We controlled it but could not find spaces. It was also not the moment to take every risk after our recent results. We wanted to control their counter attacks. The red card maybe opened more space to allow the late answer."
On Jorginho's penalty: "It works for us normally to 100%. It was never necessary to change. It can happen. Hopefully it is an unusual thing. He is disappointed but happy we could turn it around."
On Christian Pulisic: "I am happy for him. I told him he had good impact. Romelu was involved with the penalty. Hakim was dangerous and Puli got the goal. He lacked confidence in recent matches."
On the league: "It feels like a giant step. We have some games in hand. It was necessary and I am glad. The atmosphere is like this in the dressing room. We also deserved a bit of luck after the last results and how they were created here in our stadium. A big game now coming in Manchester. A good feeling with a late win. It lifts everybody's mood."
Liverpool v Everton (16:30 BST)
Everton have won just six away points this season, the fewest of any top-flight side.
Defeat would see them set a new club record of 19 losses in a 38-game league campaign.
The Toffees could lose eight away games in a row for the first time since November 1948.

Southampton captain James Ward-Prowse: "We gifted them two goals and we felt at half-time we were very much in the game. It's frustrating when you give teams those sort of leads but we showed great character.
"Sometimes this happens in the Premier League when you're up good teams but we were more frustrated at ourselves. To come from behind is never easy and we did that today. We wanted to start the second half quickly and continue the momentum. Probably, on another day we would have nicked a third."
On chasing David Beckham's Premier League record of 18 direct free-kick goals: "My main motivation is to meet my hero from when I was a kid. If I do get that record, hopefully he’ll reach out - but there's a long way to go yet."

Mohamed Salah scored twice in Liverpool’s 4-1 win against Everton in the reverse fixture this season.
The last Liverpool player to score two or more goals in both league meetings with the Toffees in a single campaign was Dick Forshaw in 1925-26 (three at home, two away).
