West Ham's Mark Noble: “It’s really disappointing to lose to two set plays, but we knew we didn’t have as big a team as we usually have out. I thought at times we played really well with the ball but when you concede from two set plays it’s a bit soul destroying.
“When you mark zonally you normally have your smaller players in front of your bigger players and it’s for the smaller players really to try and block their runs. It was a good header. To be fair to Holding, it was a great header and it’s just disappointing it with us because we’re normally good at that and today they got two set plays and won the game.
“Apart from that, I thought the boys were great. Some of the play was really good and some of the passing. We didn’t really challenge [Aaron] Ramsdale, but there was a lot of good play out there today.”

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta, speaking to Sky Sports: “We didn’t play so well. If I have to use a word it would be today we won ugly. Big teams have to find a way to win ugly when they don’t play well.
"We found a way through set pieces and defending strongly. To win here at West Ham is credit to boys and shows the spirit we have.
“We were not fluent, we gave so many balls away. Rob Holding was great. He was man of the match. He scored a goal and his contribution overall, whether he plays or does not. He is a joy to have."
Arsenal host Leeds next Sunday while Tottenham are at Liverpool next Sunday before Arsenal host Leeds the following day.
After that it is the North London Derby on Thursday 12 May and that could be huge in the race for the top four.

West Ham boss David Moyes, speaking to BBC Sport: "I thought we had done well enough. We conceded a couple of set pieces which we are normally very good at, both attacking and defending. We also made a few changes which left out some of the bigger players who might have been involved in those situations. We knew that was a risk and we got punished for it.
"We had a game Thursday, they didn't, so we were entitled to a slow burning start. It came down to two simple things, we'd have liked to have not given the corner kicks away but when we did we could have defended them better.
"Our play had been good enough to get the equaliser. I was hoping we might have nicked another before the break. We then gave away the second goal. Then we had the incident when Jarrod gets through and maybe if Jarrod had trailed his leg like others do then maybe the situation of the whole game would have changed at that point. But he didn't and I am glad he didn't because he is an honest player and does so many good things.
"We want to finish strongly, the reason we are in Europe because of our strong finish last year. Today was an opportunity but another opportunity we have is a European second leg coming up."

West Ham United
West Ham boss David Moyes, speaking to Sky Sports: "We did a good job against a good team but ultimately we got done on set pieces. We are normally very good on them.
"Do you think Holding on the second one heads it with his arm first of all? It looks as if it hits his arm, I don't think he heads it. That would have been in the same phase of play wouldn't it? It hits his arm.
"They [VAR] can get it wrong sometimes as well, they have got it wrong a lot of times. I might be wrong."
On Jarrod Bowen booking after Aaron Ramsdale challenge: "I don't ever want my players to dive because I just don't really believe in it. I think Jarrod could have easily left his leg there and trailing it into the goalkeeper, maybe he should have.
"It was a reckless challenge by the goalkeeper. The only thing that went for him was it was classed as no contact."
On the game: "I thought we controlled possession pretty good at times but I wanted a bit more presence in and around the box."

Arsenal
Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta, speaking to BBC Sport: “You have to find a way to win and today we won ugly. We have to recognise that is the way we had done it.
"We showed incredible spirit because when we could play the way we wanted to play we had to find a way to play the way they prefer. We adapted. You have to find a way to win all the time to win - forcing mistakes, being brilliant, digging in, clean sheets.
“I am really happy, especially for Rob Holding as he hasn’t played the amount of minutes he deserves. He was man of the match today. He is always there when we need him."
Battle for top four going to go all the way? “Let’s see. Another seven days to prepare for the match. The pressure is there and we both won so let’s go.”

Here's how it looks at the top of the table. Arsenal are back in fourth but Chelsea's struggles to score recently will be concerning. They are five points clear of Tottenham but that gap can soon shrink.

Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale talking to Sky Sports: "It was vital we won. I didn't know the [Tottenham] score before I went out but of course that was important if we want fourth or even third if we are looking higher.
"I didn't touch Jarrod Bowen, I was a yard away. He's a good lad Jarrod, he jumped straight up and was honest and said I didn't touch him. He thought I was going to make contact."

To keep the advantage Arsenal have, that momentum is huge. You think about that North London derby coming up; there is football to play and a lot going on. You can't focus too much on the prize; it is about what is happening now. Arsenal came and competed really well; the atmosphere was fantastic and Arsenal coped with it and dominated.
West Ham 1-2 Arsenal
All over! Arsenal hold firm to take the three points that moves them back into the top four.
West Ham's eye is on Europe but they need to be careful not to slip out of the top seven.
West Ham 1-2 Arsenal
Arsenal break through Emile Smith Rowe. Can they put this to bed? The midfielder gets to the edge of the area, passes to Eddie Nketiah, who then plays in Albert Sambi Lokonga but the substitute lashes high and wide.
Have West Ham got one final attack in them?
West Ham 1-2 Arsenal
Albert Sambi Lokonga is on for the final few minutes for Arsenal as they look to see this out. He replaces Martin Odegaard.
We're into four minutes of time added on.

Ross Matthewman: West Ham have been terrible. Slow, ponderous, completely lacking urgency or imagination. Can’t imagine Spurs fans are happy with this performance.
West Ham 1-2 Arsenal
Eddie Nketiah is booked as he stops West Ham getting on with a free kick. That prompts a bit of a melee which is eventually broken up.
Declan Rice is still not happy with Nketiah.

Can't help but think that this game would've been over if Arsenal had a more lethal striker to pick. Wouldn't be surprised if two strikers were added this summer.

Bukayo Saka has gone to ground a couple of times so is clearly struggling. He is replaced by Emile Smith Rowe for the final few minutes.
