Bernardo Silva, playing in quite a deep role it would seem, is fouled by Fabinho as Manchester City win an early free kick.

Just looking at this formation for City, Grealish is playing very central, Foden is out on the left.
It's almost like 4-4-2 for City, very different.

I'm just going to go for Liverpool.
Because of who's not playing for Manchester City and also because of the number of players that Liverpool were able to rest in midweek and able to bring back today.

The high line has been risk and reward. He plays this way because it means the whole team can play higher up the pitch. Of course you can get caught out. I wouldn't want to play it as a defender but as a forward player or a supporter you want to see Liverpool play this way.
More often than not it works.

As a City fan, I fear the second choice keeper and defence are going to be busy against Liverpool's main attack. Pep appears to be prioritising league and CL looking at City's starting line-up after a much harder midweek match than Liverpool. I'm not at all confident.

There's no way ever that Jurgen Klopp would ever leave Salah out because he knows what he brings to the team.
Even when he's not scoring goals, he's still doing his other bits. It is only a matter of time before he starts hitting the back of the net again.

Liverpool defender Trent Alexander-Arnold to BBC One:
"We're looking forward to a semi-final - I wouldn't say we are too pleased to be playing Man City again after six days but we can't pick our opponents.
"It's an exciting day - it's always nice to play at Wembley as it shows you are doing something right as a team.
"It will be a really tight game - both teams will analyse what happened last week and be looking for that extra one, two per cent that will get them the win.
"We've had two draws against them this season - but this one can't really be a draw, someone has to win.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp fields a very strong side made with plenty of choice whereas Manchester City counterpart Pep Guardiola is not only missing Kevin de Bruyne and Kyle Walker from his starting line-up. he has brought in members of the undercard like keeper Zack Steffen and Nathan Ake.
Still plenty of talent in that City side, though.
And there does seem to be an awful lot more Liverpool fans than City inside Wembley at the moment.

No De Bruyne - will that hurt Man City? Because we know how good he is and what he can do and how he makes them tick.
I think he will be a big miss for them this afternoon. He is on the bench, though, so if need be he can come on.

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola to BBC One:
"We have no alternative other than to make changes - we have injuries and we have had incredibly mentally and physically demanding fixtures, not just Atletico Madrid but Liverpool and Atletico again before that.
"We had no choice - we have to have fresh legs.
"We don't choose competitions, we don't choose games, we try every game to do our best."

RP Patel: City’s line up is psychological, basically telling Liverpool we want the league title. Would love to win it in 90, but I fear pens today will settle it.
Zahi: Looking at the line up it seems like Guardiola wants to prioritize the league & the Champions League.

Huge advantage [to be able to rest players] because of the quality of players Liverpool were able to rest.
They have their big hitters back whereas City have lost a couple through injury and they had an intense game against Atletico.

What is so great about these two managers is they are always looking to evolve.
Look at what they won over the last couple of years, they are raising the bar every single year.
