Reece James sends the ball into the box but the set piece ends in disappointing fashion as Jorginho nods the ball well wide.

This is the pattern of the game I was anticipating. Chelsea dominating, Palace looking to threaten on the break.

Some good movement from Timo Werner in attack for Chelsea, always looking to get into space and keeping the Palace defence on its toes.

Crystal Palace are looking to try and catch Chelsea on the break now the Blues have settled into the game and Eberechi Eze looks to break forward but is fouled by Mateo Kovacic.

Chelsea are building now as Mason Mount whips a fierce ball towards goal but Jack Butland is behind it all the way.

Chelsea are growing into this game now and Antonio Rudiger has the ball around 30 yards from goal. There's a few shouts urging him to shoot but he opts for the pass to Mason Mount, who loses the ball under pressure from the Crystal Palace defence.

Wilfried Zaha sweeps the ball forward and for a moment Jean-Philippe Mateta appears to get the better of Andreas Christensen but the Chelsea defender recovers well to prevent the Palace striker from striding clear on goal.

It looks like Patrick Vieira has changed his system to match Chelsea with a variation of 5-3-2 . Cheikou Kouyate is playing at centre back alongside Marc Guehi and Joachim Andersen.

Crystal Palace keep up their decent start with a free kick midway inside the Chelsea half. It is sent into the area but the Blues head clear.

A steady start to this game.

Joel Ward raids down the right for Crystal Palace in the first attack of the game but Andreas Christensen gets across well to deal with the danger.

There's a slight pause as there's a fair few balloons released by the Crystal Palace fans that need popping.

Chelsea will be kicking themselves for letting Marc Guehi go. He's so mature; he'll go to the World Cup if he carries on playing like this. The partnership with Joachim Andersen has been fantastic.

Crystal Palace's fans are in magnificent form here at Wembley. There is a wall of noise and a cascade of red, white and blue behind one goal. And they have just given a deafening rendition of their "Glad All Over Anthem."

If Palace do not win this FA Cup semi-final against Chelsea, it will not be because of lack of support.

Here we go then! The players come out onto the pitch and are greeted by an incredible atmosphere with both sets of fans up for this one. They've not had far to travel so that will no doubt help.
