MP123: The fact that Phil Foden didn't feature is mind-boggling.
England
Phil Foden has played 19 minutes in Qatar so far.
That's Phil Foden who has scored seven times in the Premier League this season - including a hat-trick against Manchester United - and provided three further assists.
"In the wide areas we decided on Jack [Grealish] and Marcus [Rashford] instead of Phil because we thought their different attributes were what would help us get over the line," said England boss Gareth Southgate after the draw with the United States.
"They weren't able to find that missing spark but we know Phil is a super player and whichever one I didn't put on, if we didn't score, we were going to get asked about which one we didn't put on."

Hit the thumbs if this guy should start against Wales on Tuesday.

Not everyone was impressed with the FA's statement.
While England were playing the United States, back in London the Wembley Arch was lit up in rainbow colours.
A statement by the Football Association said: "The FA will continue to show our support to the LGBTQ+ community and all other communities during this tournament and long beyond, starting with lighting up the Wembley Stadium arch in rainbow colours for Friday's match with the USA."
FT: England 0-0 USA
England are on the verge of reaching the knockout stage of the World Cup but Wales face an uphill battle in their quest to make the last 16.
Friday's defeat to Iran means Wales will need to beat England on Tuesday, and hope results go their way, if they are to progress on their first World Cup appearance since 1958.
The Three Lions will go through regardless if they avoid a four-goal defeat by Wales.

DisgustedofWells: It’s coming backwards, sideways, backwards, backwards, sideways, backwards, sideways, sideways, sideways, sideways and backwards…but probably not home.

England turned the clock back to the dismal days of summer as their laboured style returned, along with the jeers from supporters, following the undistinguished draw with USA.
The attacking verve, creation and goals that illuminated the 6-2 triumph against Iran in their opening World Cup game were replaced by an England side lacking ambition and drive in a performance so devoid tempo and urgency that at times it almost ground to a halt.
And as the final whistle sounded, fans who revelled in the free-flowing style that demolished Iran made their feelings clear by delivering a loud and resounding raspberry in the direction of Gareth Southgate's players.

When Wales manager Robert Page, disconsolate after his side's World Cup loss to Iran, bemoaned that this was one of the games when they could not "carry one or two players if they have off days", it was not difficult to work out who he meant.
Gareth Bale and Aaron Ramsey are two giants of Welsh football, architects of this golden era which has brought their country qualification for two European Championships and a first World Cup for 64 years.
Bale, the nation's captain, all-time leading scorer in men's football and now its most-capped male player with 110 appearances, is by most people's reckoning the greatest player to come from Wales, while Ramsey is not far behind in the rankings.
But during Friday's defeat - which leaves Wales staring at group-stage elimination in Qatar - these two stellar talents were reduced to near bystanders.
FT: Wales 0-2 Iran
An absolute sucker punch for Wales, who conceded two goals in added time and now find their hopes of qualification from Group B hanging in the balance.
Experienced players Gareth Bale and Aaron Ramsey were largely absent throughout the game and Bale couldn't find that moment of magic to give his side a slither of hope.
Wales will have to bounce back quickly if they hope to finish their World Cup campaign, their first one in 64 years, on any sort of high.

However, no lavish rewards for players of England and Wales as inquests continue into what happened on Friday.
According to reports, Saudi Arabia's players have each been promised a Rolls-Royce, external as a reward for their stunning World Cup victory over Argentina. What will they receive if they defeat Poland and reach the last 16 later?
Hands up who had Saudi Arabia down as the first team to qualify for the last 16?
It will happen if they follow up their incredible win over Argentina with victory over Poland in the 13:00 GMT game.
It's the first full weekend of the World Cup! Who's excited?
20 matches in. 49 goals scored. 4 more games today. Football, football and even more football...
What's coming up, I hear you ask?
Well, Kylian Mbappe, Lionel Messi, Christian Eriksen and Robert Lewandowski for starters.

ConradK: Gareth Southgate said he was "happy with the mentality"?! I'm so sick of this "well at least we didn't lose" frame of mind. It shows in the way he chooses the team and for once England had attacking players to spare on the bench and yet he only uses 3 subs when he could have used 5?
FT: England 0-0 USA
Sorry to do this to you, but here are the highlights from England's 0-0 draw with USA from last night. The Three Lions put in a starkly different display from their opening 6-2 win over Iran, lacking in energy, sloppy in possession and toothless up top.
However, the point suits them better than the Americans and they remain in control of their own fate ahead of the final group game with Wales on Tuesday.
Hello!
Sadly, no cartwheel celebrations in the England and Wales camps this morning as both teams reflect on frustrating performances.
While Wales are fighting to stay in the World Cup after losing to Iran, England were held to a 0-0 draw by the United States prompting three national newspapers to run with the same front page headline.
