  1. 'Brilliant finish'published at 10:26 Greenwich Mean Time 26 November 2022

    Tunisia 0-1 Australia

    Danny Murphy
Former England midfielder on BBC One

What a brilliant header. They get a bit of luck with the deflected cross but Mitchell Duke still had a lot to do. Controlled, concise, right in the corner. He just guided it in. Brilliant finish.

He can be proud of that one.

    Massive goal!

Australia need to win this and they have the lead thanks to a lovely guided header by Mitchell Duke who latches onto a cross by Craig Goodwin.

    Tunisia need to respond.

Coming into the tournament as a whole, Graham Arnold said Australia needed to fight like boxing kangaroos. They've tried to fight fire with fire so far in this match.

  4. Postpublished at 21 mins

    Tunisia 0-0 Australia

First serious attempt from a Tunisian boot. It's high and wide by Mohamed Drager. Tunisia's fans react by waving red scarves around their heads. What will they do when if their side scores?

  5. 'Goodwin's crossing a delight'published at 10:21 Greenwich Mean Time 26 November 2022

    Tunisia 0-0 Australia

    Karen Bardsley
Former England and Manchester City goalkeeper on BBC Radio 5 Live

Australia recognise that the back three of Tunisia are very narrow and compact. They know there are going to be spaces in behind.

Craig Goodwin’s crossing has been a delight so far.

Early verdict. I've seen better games at this tournament. Much better games. The good news is there plenty of time for this to improve.

Australia are favouring attacking down the Tunisia right at the moment.

That is also shown by the average position of left back Aziz Behich (purple 16). He's almost up with Craig Goodwin (purple 23) on that left-hand wing.

Two or three times, Australia have gone long rather than play through the phases. They've gone long, picked up the pieces and gained territory in the Tunisia half.

I expected Tunisia to be quicker out of the blocks and be energised with the fans behind them.

    Tunisia 0-0 Australia

Naim Sliti is fouled by Aziz Behich and Tunisia's fans are baying for blood. Instead, the Australian gets a lecture from the ref before being allowed to go on his way.

  10. 'Sustained pressure'published at 10:13 Greenwich Mean Time 26 November 2022

    Tunisia 0-0 Australia

    Danny Murphy
Former England midfielder on BBC One

It's a good start from Australia, they'll be pleased. They've had some sustained pressure without creating any chances. But they're playing in Tunisia's half, that's what the manager wanted.

  11. Postpublished at 12 mins

    Tunisia 0-0 Australia

Australia's game plan is clearly to pump as many balls and crosses into the Tunisia box as possible. So far, the North Africans are dealing with everything that is being thrown at them.

    Tunisia 0-0 Australia

    Emma Sanders
BBC Sport at Al Janoub Stadium

The referee has given two free-kicks Australia's way - both totally correct - and the crowd react as if it's a penalty against Tunisia.

They will do that all game.

  13. 'Australia are mixing things up'published at 10:11 Greenwich Mean Time 26 November 2022

    Tunisia 0-0 Australia

    Karen Bardsley
Former England and Manchester City goalkeeper on BBC Radio 5 Live

Tunisia can’t get out of their own half.

Australia are mixing things up, playing direct and getting down the flanks.

  14. 'Real weapon for Australia'published at 10:11 Greenwich Mean Time 26 November 2022

    Tunisia 0-0 Australia

    Danny Murphy
Former England midfielder on BBC One

Another good ball from Harry Souttar, spreading the play. We saw that in the France game. It's a real weapon for Australia.

  15. Postpublished at 10 mins

    Tunisia 0-0 Australia

Three seasons ago Harry Souttar was playing in League One for Fleetwood Town. Now he's playing in a must-win game for Australia at the World Cup.

The Socceroos have started well without managing to test Tunisia's keeper.

  16. 'Hrustic a miss for Australia'published at 10:09 Greenwich Mean Time 26 November 2022

    Tunisia 0-0 Australia

    Danny Murphy
Former England midfielder on BBC One

Ajdin Hrustic is a very creative player, he's a very talented player. He's not quite fit enough to play 90 minutes but depending on how the game is going, we might see him later on.

We've seen his quality for Eintracht Frankfurt, and Australia might need his quality to break down this Tunisia defence.

  17. Another clean sheet?published at 10:08 Greenwich Mean Time 26 November 2022

    Tunisia 0-0 Australia

    Vicki Sparks
    BBC commentator

Tunisia have kept nine clean sheets in their last 10 games. They were thumped by Brazil in September but that is their only defeat since Jalel Kadri took over in January.

  18. Postpublished at 6 mins

    Tunisia 0-0 Australia

Huge jeers as Aaron Mooy goes down after being clipped by Mohamed Drager. Free-kick to the Socceroos but it comes to nothing.

The best thing about this game so far is the atmosphere. It's incredible.

  19. 'A good test'published at 10:05 Greenwich Mean Time 26 November 2022

    Tunisia 0-0 Australia

    Karen Bardsley
Former England and Manchester City goalkeeper on BBC Radio 5 Live

Craig Goodwin hit the back of the net against France and you could see the confidence that came off the back of that goal.

Tunisia are traditionally stingy in defence, so this will be a good test for Australia.

  20. 'A great tactical battle'published at 10:05 Greenwich Mean Time 26 November 2022

    Tunisia 0-0 Australia

    Danny Murphy
Former England midfielder on BBC One

It's going to be a great tactical battle because both sides are well organised. They've set up in similar formations so I'm intrigued by it.
