  2. Postpublished at 15:46 Greenwich Mean Time 1 December 2022

    Canada 1-2 Morocco

Five minutes of stoppage time to come at the end of the first half at the Al Thumama Stadium. Morocco just need to calm things down and get to the interval ahead.

    Croatia 0-0 Belgium

    Jermaine Jenas
Former England midfielder on BBC One

In both games Belgium never looked like scoring, the goal against Canada came from nowhere. I understand the caution from Roberto Martinez - to try and condense it into the last 25 minutes to throw everything at them and get the goal they desperately need.

But they've not shown anything in the last two games that has shown they've got a goal in them.

Well, the 100th of the tournament is an own goal, so Nayif Aguerd won't be kissing his helmet or raising his bat.

    Canada 1-2 Morocco

    Martin Keown
Former England defender on BBC Two

It's just important now that Morocco keep it tight for the next five or ten minutes. They don't want their World Cup being derailed. Canada suddenly look much brighter in their play.

  7. Postpublished at 15:44 Greenwich Mean Time 1 December 2022

    Canada 1-2 Morocco

That's the first goal Morocco have conceded in seven games under manager Walid Regragui.

They've been denied a chance to record three straight clean sheets in Qatar - but now they need to focus on getting the job done.

Canada have not had a shot on target so far, but they're back involved...

  8. Eventful World Cup for Taylorpublished at 15:44 Greenwich Mean Time 1 December 2022

What a World Cup Anthony Taylor is having.

The Premier League referee is having another eventful match in Qatar.

He was the man in the middle during Ghana's 3-2 win over South Korea three days ago. There he sent off South Korea manager Paulo Bento following the full-time whistle for arguing when Taylor did not allow a corner to be taken after 10 minutes of injury time had elapsed.

Here, he awarded a penalty and then ruled it out after checking a replay on the pitchside monitor.

Aguerd puts a foot out and wrongfoots the goalkeeper. He just can't react. Canada are salvaging some pride here.

  10. 'Oh no'published at 15:41 Greenwich Mean Time 1 December 2022

    Croatia 0-0 Belgium

    Emma Sanders
BBC Sport at Ahmad Bin Ali Stadium

Oh no. There's a Mexican wave. At a World Cup.

And to make matters worse, it's the loudest the stadium has been since kick-off.

Kevin de Bruyne & Co need to do something about it.

  11. goal

GOAL - Canada 1-2 Moroccopublished at 15:40 Greenwich Mean Time 1 December 2022

    Nayef Aguerd own-goal (40 mins)

The 100th goal of the 2022 World Cup goes to Canada!

And it's the first own-goal of the tournament!

It's West Ham defender Nayef Aguerd who accidentally diverts a cross into his goal, the ball squeezing into the bottom corner past Yassine Bounou.

    Game on!

  12. 'Ziyech is Morocco's Neymar'published at 15:39 Greenwich Mean Time 1 December 2022

    Canada 0-2 Morocco

    Martin Keown
Former England defender on BBC Two

Ziyech maybe just needed an arm around the shoulder, they're a totally different team with him in the side. I think he's their Neymar.

  13. Century incomingpublished at 15:38 Greenwich Mean Time 1 December 2022

    Canada 0-2 Morocco

    Shamoon Hafez
BBC Sport at Al Thumama Stadium

Morocco have scored the 98th and 99th goals, so the next one scored at this World Cup will be the 100th.

Whoever gets it has to take their helmet off, kiss it before raising their bat towards the pavillion.

Here's the goal from Sevilla forward Youssef En-Nesyri that put Morocco in real control.

Big half-time team talk coming up for Roberto Martinez. It could be the last one he delivers as Belgium boss unless there's an improvement.

    Martin Keown

Canada have lost the whole of the midfield. They've changed it and not got anyone who will get on the ball. It's been left to the centre backs to play long diagonal balls.

  18. Postpublished at 15:36 Greenwich Mean Time 1 December 2022

    Canada 0-2 Morocco

It looks as though one of the officials has a technical issue and there's a bit of a break in play.

The TV cameras pan to the Morocco fans in the meantime. They're jumping up and down, waving flags and singing loud. There's one fan dressed in a lion costume. Whoever they are, they must be warm!

  19. Belgium fans not feeling the noisepublished at 15:35 Greenwich Mean Time 1 December 2022

    Croatia 0-0 Belgium

    Emma Sanders
BBC Sport at Ahmad Bin Ali Stadium

Belgium, who are heading out as it stands, are not looking great. Speaking to fans around the stadium pre-match, none were very optimistic for today. Belgium supporters have barely made a noise in the stands as well. There was a strange trumpet-like horn being blown earlier but it sounded pretty lonely and gave up after a short time!

So VAR and automatic offside detection are there to make sure decisions are without clear and obvious errors Anthony Taylor checked for offside using the 'old fashioned lines' and called it offside But the automatic offside graphic soon after seemed to show it was onside Do we now need VAR for the VAR to ensure the VAR officials don't make clear and obvious errors?
