Richarlison deserves to be the number one striker ahead of Jesus, and has been for ages.

    Tom, a realistic Spurs fan.

Wait, so an Arsenal fan thinks Jesus should start and a Spurs fan believes Richarlison should. Well, I am shocked.

Oof. If this wasn't Neymar you'd say he didn't mean this. But it is Neymar, so his curling effort from the corner that forces Serbia keeper Vanja Milinkovic-Savic to tip over his own bar goes down as a shot.

At times, Serbia are just going to have to hang in.

Vinicius Jr is lightning and beats his man down the left. Strahinja Pavlovic recovers, though, to concede a corner.

It's a scrap at times in midfield. Both teams getting a foot in to try and gain superiority. Brazil look the more threatening, but Serbia are starting to show a bit more ambition.

Neymar is sniffing. He weaves with the ball in the Serbia box but can't quite find space for a shot before the tackle comes in to dispossess him.

Raphinha already looks lively. Leeds fans will recognise that long-stride running style as he charges away down the pitch. Not shy of getting stuck in either. A workhorse as well as a thrilling attacking talent.

I think the referee is just putting a marker down with that yellow card.

Little reducer early on and he gets booked for it - he won't be doing that again.

    Brazil 0-0 Serbia

Serbia take their time over a goal-kick to try to drain a bit of the life out of this lively Brazil. After a punt down field, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic is one good Brazil tackle away from getting in on goal.

As Martin Keown has just said on BBC One, Casemiro has a big job on his hands here. He's not exactly surrounded in midfield by team-mates renowned for their defensive work.

Serbia haven't seen much of the ball, but they're mixing it. It results in the game's first yellow card, to Strahinja Pavlovic for dumping Neymar on the floor.

The Serbian fans will be delighted to see him in the team but how fit is Aleksandar Mitrovic?

He missed his last few Premier League games with I think an ankle injury, they will hope he is up to full capacity.

Jesus on the bench for Richarlison is criminal.

    Tom, an annoyed Arsenal fan.

The volume rises. It can mean only one thing - a Brazil attack.

Vinicius Jr's head tennis frees him from a marker and he finds Raphinha, who charges down the right. The low ball in is poor, though, and Serbia clear.

  14. 'Stacked with attacking talent'published at 19:03 Greenwich Mean Time 24 November 2022

    Brazil 0-0 Serbia

    Martin Keown
Former England defender on BBC One

It's a Brazil team stacked with attacking talent - we expect lots of goals but this Serbian team are very good, they qualified ahead of Portugal in their group and can score a goal or two themselves.

So this could be very interesting.

Serbia play with a back three with two sitters in midfield and try to press really high.

Patient stuff from Brazil early on. They stroke the ball around at the back. Getting a feel of things.

Not sure if this is a sign of Neymar being well up for this or not, but he's pressing and fouling a Serbia player inside the first minute.

Simon Atkins: With the unpredictable nature of the World Cup so far, and the quality of the Serbian team, I'm going 2-1 to Serbia. All of South America may fail to escape the group stage at this point.

A man bun, long beard and two sleeves of tattoos - is there a more hipster-looking player at this World Cup than Nemanja Gudelj? Man looks like he should be running a cereal cafe in Shoreditch.
