There will be a mutiny, even if Brazil win, if we don't see Pedro. He plays for Flamengo. He had a bit of a strange time at Fiorentina but he's a good centre forward, he's technically proficient. If he comes on it'll be one of the biggest roars we've heard at this World Cup.

Only Belgium vs Canada (18) has seen more first half shots than Serbia vs Switzerland (16) at the 2022 World Cup, while no game has seen more attempts on target in the opening 45 minutes at the competition so far (9).

Both problems for Brazil have come down their right-hand side. However, three of the Cameroon back four are on yellow cards and as the game opens up in the second half, I fear for the Cameroon defence because they're going to have to chase the game.

  7. Ederson shows Brazil strengthpublished at 19:55 Greenwich Mean Time 2 December 2022

    Cameroon 0-0 Brazil

    Phil McNulty
BBC Sport chief football writer at Lusail Stadium

Poor old Brazil. They have to put up with Manchester City's Ederson when they decide to give Liverpool keeper Alisson a break. What a show of strength that is and Ederson has proved his qualty with an outstanding save from Bryan Mbeumo.

Entertaining game despite no goals and Arsenal's Gabriel Martinelli the best player on the pitch.

Rigobert Song may be happy but Cameroon need to score in the second half. They've been more pussycats than lions so far.

  9. 'Switzerland through as it stands'published at 19:51 Greenwich Mean Time 2 December 2022

    HT: Serbia 2-2 Switzerland

    Emma Sanders
    BBC Sport at 974 Stadium

WELL. The door is well open in Group G. This game doesn't look like drying up any time soon. I definitely think there's more goals to come.

It's hard to tell the mood in the stadium as it's so quiet but the body language of both sets of players heading down the tunnel suggests they are fairly happy all round.

The stadium announcer reminds the Serbia players that it's Switzerland heading through as it stands. Brutal.

  10. 'Mbeumo unlucky'published at 19:51 Greenwich Mean Time 2 December 2022

    Cameroon 0-0 Brazil

    Chris Sutton
Former England striker on BBC Radio 5 Live

It's good play down the left-hand side. Mbeumo, it's a textbook header down into the floor but Ederson gets a big hand to it. That was the moment. They weren't far off. Mbeumo's unlucky there.

Serbia vs Switzerland is the first World Cup game to see both sides score 2 or more goals in the first half since England vs Argentina in 1998.

We're into the third of three additional minutes at the end of the second half.

Aleksandar Mitrovic wants a penalty for a handball by Ricardo Rodriguez, but referee Fernando Rapallini waves play on.

    Right decision.

  15. GREAT SAVE!published at 19:49 Greenwich Mean Time 2 December 2022

    BIG save!

Brazil concede a shot on target for the first time at this World Cup as Bryan Mbeumo meets a cross at the back post and sends a header into the ground that Ederson has to react quickly to and push away.

    Big chance.

    Better!

Gabriel Martinelli skips a couple of challenges on the edge of the box before hammering a rising effort that Devis Epassy pushes over his bar.

The corner is played on the ground and into the box for Rodrygo, whose first-time strike goes wide.
