  1. Wales 'can offer so much more'published at 19:52 Greenwich Mean Time 28 November 2022

Wales v England (Tuesday, 19:00 GMT)

Midfielder Joe Allen says Wales "can offer so much more" than they have shown so far at the Qatar World Cup.

Wales must beat England on Tuesday to have any chance of progressing to the last 16, having taken just a point from their first two Group B games.

Rob Page's side will start as underdogs against England, who they last beat in 1984, but Allen says a win is "not impossible".

Let's get some of the latest build-up to that one...

One effort on goal but it was a good effort. Bentancur was very positive, direct and went past a couple of players to find himself bearing down on goal.

But other than that, it's not been the most entertaining half.

    HT: Portugal 0-0 Uruguay

    Ian Dennis
BBC Radio 5 Live senior football reporter

We've had three yellow cards but in terms of chances on goal, the only real effort of note came from a strong run from Rodrigo Bentancur, running from the centre circle inside his own half and, in the end, forcing a very good save from Diogo Costa.

  5. HALF-TIMEpublished at 19:49 Greenwich Mean Time 28 November 2022

    Portugal 0-0 Uruguay

Portugal have had 70% of the ball yet still not registered a shot on target. Uruguay's Rodrigo Bentancur, after a storming run that began inside his own half, had the best chance but lacked the composure to beat Diogo Costa.

Goalless at the break, expecting better entertainment in the second half.

I've not commentated on a goalless draw so far in this tournament.

  7. 'Uruguay have grown into the game'published at 19:45 Greenwich Mean Time 28 November 2022

    Portugal 0-0 Uruguay

    Matthew Upson
Former England defender on BBC Radio 5 Live

Uruguay have had far more of the ball in the last 15 minutes and created a couple of chances. After a slow, cagey start, they have begun to grow into the game.

    Portugal 0-0 Uruguay

Mathias Olivera picks up the most needless of yellow cards, blocking the ball as Portugal, inside their own half, try to take a quick free-kick. Hopefully that won't come back to haunt him later on.

  9. Ronaldo the creatorpublished at 19:44 Greenwich Mean Time 28 November 2022

Cristiano Ronaldo has created three chances in this game, his most in a World Cup match since 2010 (five v North Korea).

He's the oldest player (37 years, 296 days) to create three chances in a game since Roger Milla in 1990 for Cameroon vs England (38 years, 42 days).

  10. 'Really disappointing'published at 19:43 Greenwich Mean Time 28 November 2022

    Portugal 0-0 Uruguay

    Matthew Upson
Former England defender on BBC Radio 5 Live

He's got that look on his face. If it is that hamstring then you just don't have the timeline to recover in a tournament. It's sad, he's really upset. It's a massive occasion for him, really disappointing.

This looks like a concern for Portugal. Nuno Mendes who suffered a hamstring injury for PSG before the tournament. He didn't play against Ghana in the opening group game. If there is a recurrence to that injury, he could be in real trouble.

    Portugal 0-0 Uruguay

Heartbreak for Nuno Mendes and the Portugal defender is in tears as he slowly walks off the pitch and, judging by his reaction, maybe that's him out of the tournament.

On comes Raphael Guerreiro as an emotional Mendes heads off straight down the tunnel to get medical treatment.

The Brighton Bard: Oh, what a shame!! That was nearly a brilliant goal for Uruguay. Great dribbling skills which you don’t tend to see so much these days.

Sho: Bentancur had to score. Did all the hard work.

Federico Valverde takes the free-kick but Portugal half clear, then when it comes back into the box, get the job done properly, launching the ball to the halfway line.

Cynical foul, the player had gone past him and he just pulled him back. Free-kick and a chance for Uruguay to swing the ball into the box.

  16. Postpublished at 39 mins

    Portugal 0-0 Uruguay

Ruben Neves gets himself a yellow card, pulling back Guillermo Varela and he can't have any complaints.

It does give Uruguay a free-kick in a promising position.

  17. Postpublished at 38 mins

    Portugal 0-0 Uruguay

That Bentancur shot, saved by Diogo Costa, was the first on target from either side.

Cristiano Ronaldo nearly gets a shot in himself at the other end, excellently taking the ball down but Uruguay recover just in time to crowd him out.

Another driving run from Bentancur, he's going past people in that midfield like they're not there.

  20. 'Unbelievable run'published at 19:35 Greenwich Mean Time 28 November 2022

    Portugal 0-0 Uruguay

    Matthew Upson
Former England defender on BBC Radio 5 Live

Out of nowhere Rodrigo Bentancur has gone on an unbelievable run through the whole heart of the pitch. Darwin Nunez makes a great run that drags Pepe away, allowing him the space to get through one-on-one.

He worms his way through two players but Costa completely saves Portugal. he gets enough on it to slow the ball and stop it. That would have been some goal!
