If the anthems counted as an early goal it would probably be Brazil 1 Croatia 0.
Thiago Silva, with his eyes closed amd vocal cords stretched, looked like he had been transported to utopia.

Brazil have Neymar - by far the most popular name and number of the back of their famous shirt at today's game....
.But Croatia have got their own number 10 too of course... you might have heard of him?

Anthem time.
Croatia salute their more sombre tune first, with hands placed on heart and lyrics sang enthusiastically.
The tempo of the music increases for Brazil and the players respond with their usual gusto...

Brazil are the favourites but we have a good chance.
The teams against Brazil haven’t been aggressive so hopefully we can show that quality.
Luka Modric is our best player ever in Croatia.
He looks at 37 like a young kid. He can run, he can pass, he needs to push us into the next round.

It's fair to say all the Brazil fans I spoke to outside the stadium are extremely confident they are going to win this one.
Although I am not quite as sure that this guy's face paint is going to come off without a great deal of effort.

Blimey, the teams can't wait to get started... they're already walking out of the tunnel!

Chris Sutton has gone big. So too have plenty in the BBC Sport office and all in favour of Brazil.
What do you think?
Thumbs up if you agree and are also going for Brazil.
Thumbs down if you think Croatia can cause a scene.

I've worked as a co-commentator for BBC Radio 5 Live at all four of Brazil's games at this World Cup, and no team has really gone toe to toe with them yet.
Each of their group games started with teams sitting in - defending deep with a low block - and two of the three teams they played, Serbia and Switzerland, did not manage a shot on target.
The difference when they played South Korea in the last 16 was that they scored an early goal in a knockout tie, which opened the game up - and it was 3-0 and over before the half-hour mark.
Having Neymar back from injury definitely helped Brazil in that match, and they made a bit of a statement with the manner of their victory.
Croatia will play with balance, rather than massed defence - but they certainly won't be on the front foot.
They have got some good players - young and old - but Brazil will be too strong.
Sutton's prediction: 0-3

Almost there, folks, almost there...
Shall we think about some predictions?

Brazil annoyed some people (not me) with their samba goal celebrations during their win over South Korea in the last round, but they are clearly not going to stop dancing any time soon.
Their fans have started already outside the stadium, and there could be more moves on the pitch, too - Brazil forward Raphinha reckons they have 10 dances for each match up their sleeves.
“One for the first goal, one for the second, one for the third,” he said. “If we score more than 10, then we’ll have to start innovating...”
I used to do similar... although after pints, not goals... and I think it's a safe bet they will have more rhythm than me.

Brazil coach Tite caused quite the stir when he showed his own fancy footwork by joining his players' dancing celebration against South Korea.
Why did he do it? To connect with the players, who he says could be his grandchildren in terms of age.
And he said he doesn't care what people from the outside of Brazil say or think about him joining in.
"It is a connection I have with the younger generation. I am 61 and with players who are 20, 21, they could be my grandchildren.
"Those who know me understand if I had to choose between to be connected with those who know me and those don't know me, I will always choose those who know me.
"If I have to dance to be connected with them I will continue to dance.
"I'm not going to apologise when it's our culture to dance and have fun."

Get on your dancing shoes! There's been one thing on Brazil's minds after scoring...

Croatia is the Brazil of Europe, they play the same way. Modric is one of the last No 10s out there.
I followed Brazil closely over their qualifying, they are extremely hungry. They want this World Cup so badly.

The experience of Croatia, getting to the final of the last World Cup, and the mental toughness. They always see themselves as underdogs, they have never say die attitude.

I'm predicting a shock today, I think Croatia will win and leave the door open for England to win the tournament.
Jonny
I’m sensing a Luca Modric masterclass today to ruin the Brazilian party. 2-1 in extra time to the Croats.
