He calmly rolls to Lucas Paqueta, whose fierce shot is collected at the second time by Livakovic.

Luka Modric is, of course , leading the charge. But the Croats are dispossessed and now Brazil counter...

From the following corner, Croatia clear. Their fans breath a sigh of relief.

The rest of us are also struggling to breathe. Tight and tense.

This is how Brazil are dangerous. They can turn it on in a blink of an eye.

Neymar is put through again by Richarlison, similar to the one 10 minute ago or so, but again he is denied by the on-rushing Dominik Livakovic.

Heading into the final 15 minutes.

This is a heck of a scrap. More heavyweight slugfest rather than middleweight guile.

All happening in midfield still.

Brazil have definitely created the more clear-cut opportunities in this second-half.

Richarlison has scored three goals in the tournament so far and only a smart save from Dominik Livakovic prevented him making it four.

Neymar should then have probably done better as he looks to pull level with Pele as Brazil's leading all-time men's goalscorer (according to Fifa, anyway).

Croatia are happy to keep the ball and manage the game. They are conserving energy well.

Off go forward pair Andrej Kramaric - once of Leicester, of course - and Mario Pasalic.

Having said that. Croatia boss Zlatko Dalić decides it is time to stick on some fresh legs.

Sensible move, one would think.

Croatia continue to try and manage their energy levels. We know they can go the distance.

In a run going back to Euro 2008, seven of Croatia's last eight knockout stage games at major tournaments have gone to extra time, with the exception being the 2018 World Cup final.

They've progressed from all four of these games at the World Cup, with three coming through penalty shootout wins.

Mateo Kovacic has been excellent, by the way. Industry and quality.

While Croatia have had some nervy moments, they seem adept at quickly regrouping and not letting those chances for Brazil ruffle them.

This is Brazil's best spell of the game. It's the first time they've managed sustained possession on the edge of the Croatia area.

The danger isn't over... the ball is back in the Croatia box and with their defence flapping it takes a big boot from Josko Gvardiol to hook clear.

This isn't pretty by Brazil but it is almost effective. The Selecao bulldoze their way through the Croatia defence, helped by a deflection, and suddenly Lucas Paqueta finds himself with the goal open in front of him.

The West Ham man pokes towards the net but is denied by the quick-thinking Dominik Livakovic.
