    Morocco are teetering here.

You just feel they need to be just the one goal behind at half-time.

2-0 is game over and just the third-fourth place to look forward to.

Roger: Is this the game to throw on Ilias Chair for Morocco? The QPR man has a bit of magic to give.

I love that from Giroud, taking the long ball down, laying it off and getting his team up the pitch. It is an underrated tactic in the game.

Variation is always key to the good teams, mixing the game up a little bit.

Great tackle by Morocco's Jawad el Yamiq to stop France midfielder Antoine Griezmann's run into the box. It should probably be a goal-kick but the referee says corner.

I think Morocco will be happy to still just be 1-0 down after that start. I was anticipating a France rout at that stage.

It does look ominous for Morocco but you have got to ask whether the French will rue those missed opportunities.

It came to Giroud and I think he has to score that. Giroud was loitering and you expect a player of his quality, who has been so impressive in this tournament, to hit the back of the net.

Hakim Ziyech doesn't do enough to stop the ball coming through, but Achraf Hakimi just about does enough to put Kylian Mbappe off.

Olivier Giroud should score, especially with the form he is.

The chances that France are creating are coming from Morocco mistakes. That was a poor give away in midfield.

Big chance for France. A couple of big chances for France.

Aurelien Tchouameni plays in Kylian Mbappe, whose shot is blocked and cleared off the line. The loose ball is played back to Olivier Giroud, who shoots wide from near the penalty spot.

Paul: That is never a foul on Hernandez. It’s he who slid in. He initiated the contact. If anything it’s a penalty for Morocco. Yet Boufal gets booked because Hernandez play acts a bit (which he does a lot).

Morocco have already completed more passes tonight than they did in the entire game against Portugal.

Unfortunate for France. Kylian Mbappe speeds down the left and cuts it back for Aurelien Tchouameni, about 30 yards out. The Real Madrid midfielder hammers a shot in... which hits Olivier Giroud. And the flag goes up for offside against Giroud.

Morocco worked the ball from right to left, I wonder whether Ziyech had the chance to get the early ball into the box but that was a poor run from Mazraoui who was three or four yards offside when Boufal fed him the ball.

Very good defending by France defender Ibrahima Konate to cut out Selim Amallah's through ball to Youssef En-Nesyri.

It is just that final little bit of patience and quality that is missing at the moment.

Hakim Ziyech drifts in and in and in but can't get space for a shot so passes. Eventually the offside flag goes up (for something else later in the move) before Azzedine Ounahi shoots wide.
