Right from the first second, Kevin de Bruyne was running everywhere, putting pressure on, leading his team. The pass he put in for Mahrez's chance was genius. There is no stopping him impressing me in the way he plays; he played so well on Tuesday and he put in another world-class performance.

"I think it should [be more before half-time] but we were still winning. The way the second half started is the disappointment. I think we played great and created enough chances to win the game."

On the chance for Riyad Mahrez at the end: "It's a great chance. Riyad chose to chip and if it goes in it's a wonder goal.

"Today we played very well, I think we had the upper hand. This is the way we need to play the rest of the season."

On who the point benefits more: "It's similar. I know people said whoever wins gets the title. But it's too hard, the schedule is too tough for both teams to win every game, but we will try."

Former Manchester United midfielder Roy Keane speaking to Sky Sports: "We saw today the different qualities - City outstanding first half and Liverpool showed their quality second half. All the talk was it would not be decided today but they played like it was going to be. It was like a final. I think a draw was a fair result."

There was an almighty big hug at the end between Pep Guardiola and Jurgen Klopp. Talent recognises talent.

They'll have sweated through that game, but I'm pretty sure they'll have loved the spectacle.

You can not have a bigger chance to win the game in the last minute! What a pass from Kevin de Bruyne; everyone thought he was looking for Phil Foden.

I don't know what Mahrez was doing trying to chip there. A side-foot would have been enough and Man City would have won the game.

A sensational game. But who would you pick as star man? You can rate the players here.

Once again, nothing can separate the best two sides in the country.

It swung and twisted with boundless quality but in the end yields just a point each.

The gap between the two remains a solitary point. Advantage City. Just.
