It's interesting how long Eintracht Frankfurt wanted to go immediately. Everyone flew forward and they leathered it long.

I would estimate Rangers have got two-thirds of the 42,000 stadium.

Eintracht have a choreographed banner but they're surrounded by royal blue shirts.

The amount of Rangers fans we've seen in this city has been incredible.

Eintracht Frankfurt fans have now unfurled a huge banner covering the stand behind the goal to our right. It has what looks like a skeleton praying and cradling the club crest.

What happened to just giving your scarf a wee twirl?

This is what you dream about playing in. When you're a young kid wanting to play football, this is what you want to play in. European finals, against the best of the best. Win the game and you're immortal in the Rangers fans eyes. I've never been in a football stadium as loud as this.

We are now getting some sort of fire, light and dance show with a bit of marching. Sort of a mix between a Zumba class, a gala day and a bonfire.

Not entirely sure what's going on to be honest.

Rangers boss Giovanni van Bronckhorst tells BT Sport: "We've prepared well. The boys look sharp and ready.

"I was quite clear on how I wanted to start. When I saw how Frankfurt played, I knew we could play with the same players [as the Leipzig second leg] with small changes.

"It's a great occasion and we're finally here. The fans are very important for our play. The more here, the better."

    Eintracht Frankfurt v Rangers (20:00)

Rangers lost the 1961 European Cup Winners' Cup final to Fiorentina and the '67 final to Bayern Munich before their triumph over Dinamo Moscow in 1972 in the same tournament.

Walter Smith steered the Ibrox club to the Uefa Cup final in 2008, but they came up short against Zenit Saint Petersburg in Manchester.

This is Eintracht's third European final. They lost in the 1960 European Cup against Real Madrid at Hampden before beating Borussia Monchengladbach to lift the 1980 Uefa Cup.

    Quote Message

My mindset was always to dominate the person I was playing against as quickly as I could. Find a weakness, completely destroy his confidence, then move onto somebody else. That's the name of the game. Like any sport, you have to dominate whoever you are up against. Simple.

  17. Van Bronckhorst has big game experience aplentypublished at 19:42 British Summer Time 18 May 2022

    Eintracht Frankfurt v Rangers (20:00)

In a game of 'show us your medals', Rangers boss Giovanni van Bronckhorst beats opposite number Oliver Glasner all ends up.

Glasner, 47, won the Austrian Cup a couple of times as a player - and that's it, although he has impressed as a head coach at LASK and Wolfsburg before joining Frankfurt last summer.

Van Bronckhorst was a Champions League winner with Barcelona and Premier League winner with Arsenal, collecting 14 major titles, five with Rangers, during his playing days.

He also captained the Netherlands in the 2010 World Cup final, so he's no stranger to the big occasion.

As a manager, he has picked up a league title with Feyenoord and two cups. Will he add to his impressive haul this evening?

  20. 'Rangers a mix of West Ham and Barcelona'published at 19:37 British Summer Time 18 May 2022

    Eintracht Frankfurt v Rangers (20:00)

Talking yesterday, Eintrach Frankfurt head coach Oliver Glasner said: "I'm so proud of the players and what they've produced in the last two months. Both teams fully deserve to be in the final. With Rangers, I see a mix of West Ham and Barcelona. The Dutch influence of the head coach in their build-up play, but the British mentality. We need a top performance."
