He shows his strength to hold off a marker, but is falling as he shoots so his effort lacks power and makes for an easier save for Adrian.

Soon after, he gets a better chance as the ball finds him unmarked in the box. He goes with his wrong foot, though - left as opposed to right - and pokes his effort from close range wide.

Those are the areas that City want him in, though.

Now Thiago is taking the mickey, flicking the ball past one City man, then another, before laying it calmly back to Virgil van Dijk.

It is a different level of coolness.

Haaland's goal record is insane. He's getting a goal a game, for the last 100 or so matches.

It is amazing. For his age, the numbers are phenomenal. He has such a big personality and that makes the dynamic interesting for City this season.

The flag is up, making Riyad Mahrez's shot and Adrian's superb save moot.

It was a fine effort and diving block, though.

Trent Alexander-Arnold is on his bike again, looking to make things happen in the final third. Jordan Henderson's pass is just a touch heavy, though, and Ederson is out to claim.

Liverpool continue to fiercely press the City defence at every opportunity. Earning the right to play.
