    Final Score

Leicester not out of it that's the strange thing about this game, they could very well force themselves back into it.

  5. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:50 British Summer Time 13 August 2022

    Southampton 0-0 Leeds

Lots of huff and puff and snapping into tackles, but precious little attacking quality.

Leeds have lost Patrick Bamford to injury.

  8. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:48 British Summer Time 13 August 2022

    Wolves 0-0 Fulham

Goalless at the break at Molineux.

Wolves have certainly created the better chances, but Fulham have done well to hang on.

Aleksandar Mitrovic has cut a pretty isolated figure up top for Fulham.

Hopefully there's a few goals to come in the second half.

Gareth: From what I've seen of City with Haaland they look pretty much unstoppable. The question is though, are they unkloppable? From an anxious/intrigued Liverpool fan, living in Manchester

  11. Postpublished at 15:47 British Summer Time 13 August 2022

    Southampton 0-0 Leeds

Neither side have really been able to take full control of this one.

Leeds look marginally more likely to score, but haven't really found their shooting boots yet. Brenden Aaronson charges forward but his effort from range is tame and over the bar.

  12. Postpublished at 15:46 British Summer Time 13 August 2022

    Arsenal 2-0 Leicester

Now Jamie Vardy is taking pelters from the crowd.

There didn't seem to be too much contact when he went down.

Leicester have it all to do.

  13. Postpublished at 15:46 British Summer Time 13 August 2022

    Man City 3-0 Bournemouth

Erling Haaland's first real effort at goal requires some improvisation as the ball is flicked over the top and he needs to stick out a boot to loop an angled effort towards goal.

Mark Travers has to tip it over.

  14. Postpublished at 15:45 British Summer Time 13 August 2022

    Wolves 0-0 Fulham

Joao Palhinha is booked for barging into Pedro Neto, who used his body well to shield the ball.

Good position this for Wolves but Neto's delivery is dealt with not once, but twice by Fulham. Wolves corner, half-cleared to Ruben Neves, who fails to trouble Marek Rodak.

  15. VAR

NO PENALTYpublished at 15:45 British Summer Time 13 August 2022

    Arsenal 2-0 Leicester

    Hang on!

VAR is looking at this and is instructing the referee to go and watch the incident again on the monitor by the side of the pitch.

Darren England returns to the pitch and reverses his original decision to huge cheers.

  16. Postpublished at 15:43 British Summer Time 13 August 2022

    Man City 3-0 Bournemouth

Oof. This is a nasty one for Ilkay Gundogan. Ryan Christie sticks a boot in to tackle the midfielder and catches him on the ankle. Play is stopped to allow the German to get some treatment.

Thankfully, he's going to be OK to carry on.

  17. PENALTY TO LEICESTERpublished at 15:42 British Summer Time 13 August 2022

    Arsenal 2-0 Leicester

    Oh, hello!

The referee points to the spot after a collision between Jamie Vardy and Aaron Ramsdale in the Gunners box.

A lifeline for Leicester before half-time.

    Brighton 0-0 Newcastle

    A huge moment.

Brighton think they have scored through Solly March's half volley but it is hacked clear at the last moment.

    Did it cross the line?

    No, according to goal-line technology.

As a lifelong Cherries supporter, anything under double figures against Man City, would constitute a fair result.
