It's Forest fans celebrating West Ham's goal being ruled out for a foul.

Robert Jones went to check it again on a monitor and disallowed it on his return.

I don't know about the players, but I'm exhausted just watching this.

Credit to both sets of players for keeping this pace up in these conditions.

Ben: The quality of delivery in this match so far is miles ahead of most of yesterday's football. Crossing a ball well, consistently, is still underappreciated in this league, somehow.

That was close!

A shot from outside of the box takes a heavy deflection and lands at the feet of Michail Antonio who is about six yards out.

He instinctively turns and shoots but it flashes narrowly wide.

Steve Cooper will be impressed with this. The only thing Forest are missing is a goal. They're throwing everything at it but there have been signs in the last few moments that West Ham are coming back into this.

West Ham defender Ben Johnson and manager David Moyes were furious at the assistant referee for not flagging Forest striker Taiwo Awoniyi offside immediately just then.

But the new directive is that the officials should delay if there is an obvious goalscoring opportunity, which that was.

They got it right. The West Ham guys were not impressed.

Jesse Lingard is trying to influence the game - 13 touches, seven passes and two key passes so far against his former club.

A promising Hammers attack ends in a free-kick to the hosts after Tomas Soucek's push on Lewis O'Brien. Forest break on the counter but there's an offside flag.

Nottingham Forest will be pleased with their efforts before the first drinks break, West Ham will be pleased to get there still on level terms.

The visitors are the ones with the Premier League experience. I expect them to improve after the interval when Forest start to tire.

A snap shot from Brennan Johnson but it's easy for Lukasz Fabianski. The pace has slowed since that lightning start by both teams.

Paul: Forest have started well but aren’t winning. Can they keep it up for 90 minutes in this heat though? Slow and steady and kick on later may be the better strategy in the conditions. West Ham will come into this more later on.

This is the first competitive match between Forest and West Ham since an FA Cup third round tie at City Ground n 2014.

Forest (then in the Championship) defeated the Premier League Hammers 5-0.

Not sure we're going to see a repeat result here.

Dean Henderson is called into action to keep out a header shortly before a much-needed water break. They were playing videos on the big screen before kick-off of Forest's glory moments to whip up the crowd. It wasn't needed. The atmosphere was already off the scale and has carried on throughout the game.

Forest have had five attempts in the opening 20 minutes but they are still waiting to register a first attempt on target since returning to the Premier League.

A nice clean take by Dean Henderson and Forest are off on another attack. You cannot take your eyes off this. It's end to end. It's frantic. And it's fab to watch.

Once more, there is no shirt sponsor on the Nottingham Forest kit, which is a rarity in the Premier League.

Taiwo Awoniyi looks a real handful. He's just a few inches from putting Forest ahead after stretching to meet a lovely ball into the box. He narrowly fails to connect but West Ham's defence is working overtime.

There is no way Forest are going to be able to keep up this pace.

It's great to watch but it's energy-sapping in the baking Nottingham heat.
