    Leicester 0-1 Man Utd

Leicester respond. And they're not far away either.

Harvey Barnes is set up to curl an effort past the far corner of the goal from the edge of the box.

    Leicester 0-1 Man Utd

    Another United chance!

Marcus Rashford is persistent down the right and charges in before pulling back for Jadon Sancho.

He shoots but his effort is blocked.

  3. Postpublished at 35 mins

    Leicester 0-1 Man Utd

Everything looks hurried and hard for Leicester right now. They can't get the ball to stick up top and are panicking at the first sight of pressure.

  4. Postpublished at 34 mins

    Leicester 0-1 Man Utd

This is better from the Foxes.

They win the ball back in midfield and counter. But for a Raphael Varane interception, Harvey Barnes' pass would put Jamie Vardy away.

Sancho already seems to have much more confidence this season. The Ten Hag effect?

More screams of frustration from the home fans as Leicester aimlessly and awkwardly prod the ball around at the back.

I am not sure what Leicester's plan is to try to break Manchester United down but what Manchester United are doing is quite clear - get the ball to Bruno Fernandes and release Anthony Elanga or Marcus Rashford down that right-hand side.

It's all very comfortable at the moment for Manchester United.

They're not carving Leicester open at will, but they're controlling this.

No idea what Vinodhnatarajan means at 20:17. Mourinho won a trophy and got top 4 in 2017 years ago, it's been downhill since! Utd, like every other club, don't have a right to a trophy - you have to earn it again through the quality of players, good management and sound running of the club.

    Tim

@Vinod 20:17. This right here is actually the biggest problem. We are not entitled to top 4 or trophies or anything. I simply want us to relearn how to fight and scrap and go through brick walls for our fans and manager, EVERY GAME. That is actually what made our football so thrilling to watch as a fan back then.

Passes are going astray from the home side. There is frustration in the stands. Music to Manchester United ears.

That opening goal was understandably a hammer blow to Leicester. They weren't really threatening but they were at least competing before it. Now the Foxes look all at sea.

Ashwin: Rashford at it again. Mr invisible man!!!! Leave Man Utd & focus on writing fiction books.

Robin: I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again. He might have got an assist but Marcus Rashford is NOT a Centre Forward. Looks very out of place and is much better on the left wing.

Diogo Dalot is the first player into the book as he drags back Harvey Barnes. Not ideal to be on a yellow against a winger of Barnes' class for 60 minutes.

Manchester United have avoided defeat in their last 17 matches when scoring the opening goal in the Premier League - dating back to 30 October 2021 against Tottenham Hotspur.

Lovely move from Manchester United and another slick finish from Jadon Sancho to go with his goal against Liverpool last week, He will be high on confidence now.

Leicester City are on the back foot at the moment and The King Power Stadium is a nervy place.

Christian Eriksen is given space to fire a shot from range. Bad idea for Leicester. The Dane finds the target but can't beat Danny Ward.

Manchester United are defending well and working hard to set up these attacks. They are starting to look dangerous on this right-hand side.

Someone tell Rashford to watch Haaland's video from yesterday. It is not where the ball it, it is where you are as a striker when the ball comes in. Be there and goals will come.

    JB

Once Martial is fit, he'll lead the line with Sancho on the left and Anthony on the right. Rashford's days are numbered.
