Demarai Gray whips in the free-kick but it curls wide of the far post.

The corner comes out and is hooked back in by Anthony Gordon. Conor Coady heads it into the air and Lukasz Fabianski catches it.

Not really a chance per se but at least something happened.

Everton win a corner which at least gives me something to write here.

Paqueta is a top player but he doesn’t look like he’s adjusted to the speed of the game in this country. It looks really quick for him, he’s got to realise that once he goes past someone, they’re going to be on the back of his heels.

Just watching Idrissa Gueye off the ball, you can see the areas of the field that he picks up. He’s brilliant at spotting the danger and I think Everton needed someone in the centre of the pitch to help the back four.

Bit of a tough watch, this one, in all honesty.

Everton's Demarai Gray is tackled on the edge of the box but doesn't win a free-kick.

A few Toffees crosses are cleared and then Anthony Gordon can't keep one in play.

It's 0.14-0.13 on expected goals.

Which means by the end of the game they might have half a goal each...

(What it actually means is there have been no good chances)

Coady’s got a little bit too tight there. He had to make that foul, otherwise Antonio would’ve been away… and you don’t catch Antonio!

Everton defender Conor Coady knows he won't be able to catch Michail Antonio, so brings him down on the halfway line. Yellow card.

West Ham midfielder Lucas Paqueta heads towards goal from near the penalty spot following a corner but he can't generate much power and it's an easy catch for Asmir Begovic.

Good block by Everton's James Tarkowski just as Michail Antonio is rifling a shot in from 20 yards.

Everton full-back Vitalii Mykolenko shoots over with an overly ambitious 30 yard shot on the bounce.

Nothing I'd really call a proper chance yet.

Everton mount a speedy counter-attack from this corner as Nathan Patterson finds Demarai Gray, who beats two or thre defenders before running into trouble. He has taken them up the pitch though.

West Ham have a corner. Amadou Onana heads behind Aaron Cresswell's corner for another one.

This second one is flicked behind for a third.

Magnificent hold-up play by Antonio. He was so good there when he took the ball down, it was just the final pass that was missing. Lovely play.
