    Bournemouth v Brentford (15:00 BST)

    Adam Cottier
BBC Final Score reporter at Bournemouth

Bournemouth fans are in optimistic mood here on a sunny south coast day. Those I've spoke to say they would like to see Gary O'Neil get manager's role permanently. One tells me they see 'no reason to change.' The Cherries could be in the top ten tonight.

    Arsenal 2-1 Tottenham

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg runs onto it on the edge of the box and it sits up nicely for him but his strike is way over the bar.

At the other end, Gabriel Jesus nods it back across goals but he looked offside anyway.

    Arsenal 2-1 Tottenham

Oleksandr Zinchenko links up on the left but there's enough bodies in the box for Spurs to deal with it.

Richarlison then has it at the other end but he remains patient and switches it across the middle, with Harry Kane dropping deep.

Tottenham fans will not want to see that again because the ball is literally passed back to Lloris off Romero, into his hands. It slipped through his hands, underneath him and Jesus taps home from a yard out.

Jesus will never score an easier goal in the Premier League, never mind the north London derby.

Gabriel Jesus is loving life since joining Arsenal and he celebrated that goal with his team-mates before standing and taking the plaudits of the fans with his arms outstretched. A Brazilian man full of confidence a few months out from the World Cup...

    Gabriel Jesus (49 mins)

    Gabriel Jesus scores again.

Bukayo Saka makes it as he cuts inside and fires a powerful effort towards Hugo Lloris.

The Spurs goalkeeper can't keep hold of it and his mistake allows Jesus to beat Emerson Royal to it and poke it over the line.

    Arsenal are back in front.

How long has it been since both Spurs and Arsenal looked like genuine good sides at the same time? Gotta be pre-premier league surely?

    Final Score

The sun is shining on a typically glorious west London afternoon. Fulham fans are already here nice and early - there will be 700 in the upper tier of their impressive new riverside stand for the first time today and they’ve got in to soak up the views. Fulham players are on the pitch checking it out - no sign of Alexander Mitrovic yet. The Serbian is one of a number of knocks Marco Silva declared ahead of this one.

  15. Fresh start and new beginningspublished at 13:25 British Summer Time 1 October 2022

    Liverpool v Brighton (15:00 BST)

    Gary Rose
    BBC Sport at Anfield

After an absence of 31 days, Premier League football returns to Anfield and the weather could hardly be much better as fans make their way to the stadium.

For the visitors it is the start of a new era with Graham Potter having departed to Chelsea and Roberto De Zerbi making his debut in the dugout for the club.

Liverpool, meanwhile, will hope the international break will have provided a bit of a restart after a mixed start to the season.

Much of the build up this week has been centred around Trent Alexander-Arnold and his omission from the England squad, but Reds boss Jurgen Klopp gave an excellent insight into his value to his team, and he will be hoping the full-back and his team-mates can make a winning start to what is a busy period of games before the World Cup.
