  1. goal

GOAL - Leicester 1-0 Nottingham Forestpublished at 25 mins

    James Maddison

It's been a breathless, brilliant 25 minutes to get us going and we now have a goal.

It's loose from Forest's Jesse Lingard as he loses the ball 20 yards from his own goal, James Maddison shoots at goal and it takes a deflection, off the arm of Scott McKenna, and that takes the ball past away goalkeeper Dean Henderson.

As you could tell from the subtle "ooo" in the stadium, I too thought that was going in.

    But somehow it stays 0-0!

  3. HITS THE WOODWORK - Nottingham Forestpublished at 22 mins

    Leicester 0-0 Nottingham Forest

Leicester have had loads of chances, but it is nearly the visitors who take the lead. Jesse Lingard links up with Morgan Gibbs-White and he releases the well-timed run of Taiwo Awoniyi.

He is too good and too quick for Wout Faes and shoots low at goal with it bouncing off the foot of the post. A let-off for Leicester.

    Great game.

How it's 0-0 I have no idea because it's all Leicester!

It's just Leicester attack, after Leicester attack.

Forest are very sloppy in possession.

    Leicester 0-0 Nottingham Forest

It's the first yellow of the match and it goes to Forest's Neco Williams for a handball. The free-kick, to the left of the penalty area finds Jamie Vardy free but he again can't head the ball past Dean Henderson.

Brendan Rodgers will be delighted with the start his side have made, less delighted with their finishing.

Yodabred: You have to wonder, given Leicester knew Kasper Schmeichel was leaving and Danny Ward's poor form so far this season, why were they not in for Henderson? I mean no disrespect, but surely a young lad would prefer an established team rather than a team just up from the Championship?

  7. Leicester's wasted chancespublished at 20:17 British Summer Time 3 October 2022

No-one in the bottom half of the table has scored more than Leicester's 10 goals this season and really Brendan Rodgers' men should have added to their tally by now.

Rodgers is largely standing watching the game with his arms crossed, an obvious sign of tension.

He really needs to win this.

  8. Postpublished at 15 mins

    Leicester 0-0 Nottingham Forest

Leicester Harvey Barnes is too quick with the feet for Neco Williams and wins a free-kick tight to the left touchline. James Maddison swings it in and Jamie Vardy is left all alone to get his head on it.

But Vardy surprisingly can't convert, not even hitting the target. Moments later, Vardy, with a trademark run in the channels, gets away another shot, but Dean Henderson is well positioned to deal with it.

    Leicester 0-0 Nottingham Forest

A very bright start for Leicester, in no way looking like a side that have picked up just one point so far. It's their fifth shot in only 12 minutes and again it's Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, but it flashes wide of the post.

A very good watch so far, this one.

Andrew: Nice to see a good old “Blues” v “Reds” local derby tonight. Just like the old days!

  11. Postpublished at 11 mins

    Leicester 0-0 Nottingham Forest

Leicester are having a lot of joy down the right flank and this time Timothy Castagne sends in a cross but it is just too high for Jamie Vardy.

But Leicester keep it alive and James Justin's shot from the edge of the penalty area is deflected just over, looping up and dropping quickly, but the hosts then make a mess of the short corner.

How Leicester aren't in front I do not know.

It's a cracking atmosphere here, as you'd expect!

  13. Leicester should scorepublished at 20:07 British Summer Time 3 October 2022

    Leicester 0-0 Nottingham Forest

James Maddison teased and tormented the Forest defence then before lifting a brilliant cross to the edge of the six-yard box.

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall had enough time to pick his spot with the header.

He had to do better there.

  14. CLOSE!published at 5 mins

    Leicester 0-0 Nottingham Forest

A great chance for Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall for the hosts as he is unmarked five yards out following excellent wide play from James Maddison before he stands up a cross. But Dewsbury-Hall can only head wide when he should have hit the target.

    Good chance, wasted.

    Leicester 0-0 Nottingham Forest

A couple of early corners for Nottingham Forest too and it's 100 miles an hour at the moment. Hopefully it will continue in the same fashion.

    Neither corner comes to anything.

  16. Postpublished at 1 min

    Leicester 0-0 Nottingham Forest

A rapid start for the hosts as they sprint upfield from kick-off. It falls to Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall but he can't keep his strike from the top corner of the penalty area down and over Dean Henderson's bar it goes.

  19. No Forest shirt sponsorpublished at 20:00 British Summer Time 3 October 2022

    Leicester v Nottingham Forest (20:00BST)

    Simon Stone
BBC Sport at the King Power Stadium

We are nearly two months into the Premier League season and Nottingham Forest still don't have a shirt sponsor.

It's really odd seeing a team without a logo on the front of their kit.
