A defeat today would see Leicester lose eight of their opening 10 matches of a league campaign for only the third time.

On both of the previous two occasions that has happened, they've been relegated.

Leicester enjoy a bit of control after a succession of turnovers, working the ball over to Timothy Castagne this time.

Again, the final ball isn't quite there, but Castagne and Harvey Barnes are creating plenty of width and stretching the Palace defence.

Timothy Castagne heads a Joel Ward cross clear and Leicester are soon on the break as the rapid Patson Daka sprints upfield.

The Palace defence are able to get back in numbers before Daka's team-mates can arrive in force, though.

A second corner follows for Leicester, which Vicente Guaita claws away.

Harvey Barnes is really getting his side and the supporters going now.

He makes another threatening dart inside and then pops the ball into the box which is eventually cleared after a couple of deflections.

That chance has drawn a bit more noise from the home fans who had gone a bit quiet after a few nervy moments.

Harvey Barnes again exchanges passes on the left before driving forward, however his low ball into the box is cut out.

Harvey Barnes works a quick one-two with Patson Daka to break into the penalty area, but Vicente Guaita stands his ground and blocks the shot at his near post.

Hands on hips from Patrick Vieira on the touchline. His side are beginning to create decent openings and he'll know what impact an early goal could potentially have on a Leicester side low on confidence.

Odsonne Edouard gets away from the Leicester defence far too easily from a ball over the top and cuts the ball back from the byline, but there's nobody waiting to strike in the six yard box and the opportunity vanishes.

That's a nice idea from Wout Faes, floating a lovely ball over the Palace defence, but he can't pick out a team-mate and Danny Ward scoops it up unchallenged in the end.

Leicester lose possession in their own half and the Palace frontline pounces.

The ball is worked neatly to Eberechi Eze but he scuffs his shot from a central position and Leicester get the ball clear.

Marc Guehi lets out a yelp after colliding with Timothy Castagne as he rushed across to snuff out the danger. He's soon back up on his feet, unharmed.

Castagne is seeing a fair bit of the ball deep on the right for the Foxes.

The set-piece is rolled back to the edge of the area but Wilfried Zaha's shot is blocked. A few signs the visitors are beginning to warm up here.

Crystal Palace break clear following the free-ick but the Leicester defence recovers well.

The Eagles come again, and this time Jeffrey Schlupp earns a free-kick for his side on the right of the Leicester penalty area.

Maddison whips the free-kick in with his right foot from the left and it's met by a confident punch away from Vicente Guaita.

Good build-up play from Leicester early on but Timothy Castagne can't provide a decent cross from the right despite having time and space.
