Eze is the type of player who gets fans off their seats. He's entertaining and for me he's a really good representation of Crystal Palace.

I also think that he's the natural successor to Wilfried Zaha.

Obviously Wilfried is still at the top of his game but there is going to come a time where he does get older and slows down a bit and I think Eze is the natural one to take that mantle and lead the club forward.

Sulaimon: Daka starting ahead of Vardy is a no brainer for Brendan Rodgers, that's the best tactical change he has made in a long while.

Tim: Always great to see Édouard starting. He is a very good striker who deserves to be in the Premier League. He was far too good for Celtic, much like a certain defender currently playing for Liverpool.

Patrick Vieira says Eberechi Eze still has room for improvement if he wants to earn a call-up for England's World Cup squad.

Eze has represented the Three Lions at youth level and was named in the provisional 33-man squad for Euro 2020, but was injured in a training session on the same day as the squad announcement.

When asked whether the forward should be in the conversation for a place in Gareth Southgate's squad for Qatar, Vieira said: "His performance will dictate if his name should be around the conversation or not.

"He is a good dribbler, he understands the game, but he still needs to progress. What I expect from him is to be more decisive in the last third.

"He has the ability to score more goals. He has the ability to make more assists. That is one of the elements of the game that he needs to progress but I am pleased with what he is giving the team at the moment."

  7. Leicester's number six issuespublished at 12:17 British Summer Time 15 October 2022

Leicester v Crystal Palace (12:30 BST)

Leicester's first half scorelines this season would have him them firmly entrenched in the top 10 - but, unfortunately for the Foxes, they have too often self-destructed in the second half.

It's 24 goals conceded in nine Premier League games for Leicester - so what's happening tactically?

    Brendan RodgersImage source, Getty Images

"From a tactical perspective, Leicester's number sixes - be that Boubakary Soumare or Wilfried Ndidi - are getting caught and leaving space in behind and our defence is getting exposed," says BBC Radio Leicester's analyst Dominic Wells on the When You're Smiling podcast.

"A number six should screen and protect the defensive line, but ours are rushing out to press challenges and leaving something in behind them.

"It's a really big issue. Until Brendan Rodgers fixes those problems, Leicester will be continually exposed to midfield runners and that's hazardous in this league."

For the visitors, it could very well be Wilfried Zaha who has a decisive say today

Despite Leicester's struggles so far this season, James Maddison has been in fine form as he looks to put himself in contention for a place in England's World Cup squad.

The 25-year-old has scored five goals and made two assists already this season.

It's taken his total in his last 12 league games to nine goals and five assists, and earned him a big-money move into my fantasy team.

Leicester v Crystal Palace (12:30 BST)

We're just over 20 minutes away from kick-off at the King Power. Here are a few stats to whet your appetite...

Crystal Palace have won eight of their 20 Premier League meetings with Leicester City.

A ninth victory today would be their most in the division against a particular opponent.

But Leicester have earned 14 points from a possible 18 in their six league matches against Palace under Brendan Rodgers.

And the Foxes have won this fixture at home in each of the past three seasons.

    BBC football expert

Leicester's last home game was against Nottingham Forest, when they were brilliant, but then they went backwards against Bournemouth last week.

I don't think much has changed - the Foxes remain vulnerable at the back and you have to think Crystal Palace, and Wilfried Zaha, will capitalise on that.

Palace had been sliding a bit themselves until they beat Leeds last time out, which was a good game to watch.

It was only in the second half that Palace got more control in the game and it was an important result for them because they showed they can get through difficult patches of a game and end up winning it.

I feel like they will cause Leicester problems, but likewise the Foxes can hurt them. With that in mind, I'm going for a draw.

    Sutton's prediction: 2-2

Wolves interim head coach Steve Davis welcomes back midfielder Ruben Neves from suspension for his side's home game against Nottingham Forest.

However, defender Nathan Collins serves the final game of his three-match ban.

Boubacar Traore may need to be assessed following illness, while Raul Jimenez, Chiquinho, Sasa Kalajdzic and Pedro Neto are all unavailable.

Nottingham Forest boss Steve Cooper says defender Moussa Niakhate is "nowhere near" being ready to return from a hamstring injury.

Omar Richards and Jack Colback also remain sidelined.

Fulham could once again be missing top scorer Aleksandar Mitrovic when they meet Bournemouth.

The Serb is still struggling with the foot problem that caused him to miss last week's defeat by West Ham.

Fit-again winger Willian will be involved for the first time in a month but Nathaniel Chalobah is still banned.

Bournemouth summer signing Joe Rothwell has recovered from a thigh injury and might make his debut, while Ben Pearson is available after a knee issue.

Lloyd Kelly and David Brooks remain sidelined.
