There might be a change in roles as Mohamed Salah drops in more centrally. Darwin Nunez has gone out wide.

Darwin Nunez is on for Roberto Firmino. Jordan Henderson replaces Fabinho. Fabio Carvalho was due to come on for Mohamed Salah but Jurgen Klopp, after a quick word with him, changes his mind. It's Harvey Elliott who goes off instead.

We would expect Salah to bury that, especially from that position, coming inside on his left foot. He just bends it wide, he's not far away.

Kevin de Bruyne's cross, looking for Erling Haaland, is headed away by Joe Gomez.

Another cross floats straight out for a goal kick and that's Jurgen Klopp's cue to make a few changes.

Erling Haaland can't get a shot off. It falls to Ilkay Gundogan but his effort is blocked. Bernardo Silva finally has a crack from long range but he's dragged it wide.

Immediately up the other end, Mohamed Salah cuts inside of Ruben Dias and curls it past the far post.

A good spell from City now as Ilkay Gundogan once again breaks through the lines and his run is blocked off by Joe Gomez at the expensive of a corner.

It comes to nothing though as Ruben Dias nods it over the bar.

It's a brilliant run from Gundogan who slips the ball into Haaland. It's a left footed shot from Haaland and that's a good save from Alisson.

Another crucial stop but this time from Liverpool's Brazilian, Alisson.

Erling Haaland has his opportunity as he's in space, dead centre of the top of the box, but he snatches at it a little and Alisson can push it away with his right hand.

Fabinho is the first to go in the book as he chops down Ilkay Gundogan.

Mohamed Salah sneaks in behind now. He whips one across the face of the goal but it's too high for Roberto Firmino.

Diogo Jota sprints down the left and squeezes in a cross. Nathan Ake misses it but Harvey Elliott's touch isn't quite perfect and he's closed down as he gets a shot off. Corner.

Throw in Diogo Jota's miss with the header and Anfield is a real cauldron.

It's like pinball in the box as the corner comes in. Erling Haaland is trying to get a head on it but Liverpool's defenders throw everything at it too and they get it away. Andy Robertson then wins a throw-in on the left-hand side.

Jon: That goal should've been overturned regardless of the shirt tug by Haaland for the same reason Villa had the goal disallowed when Schmeichel had ball between hand and floor. No different with Allison.
