• No Premier League fixture has been drawn as often as Chelsea against Manchester United (26). Indeed, seven of the last nine meetings between the sides have finished level, including each of the last five in a row.

• Chelsea are now winless in their last 10 Premier League games against Manchester United (D7 L3) – only against Blackburn (12 between 1992 and 1998) and Arsenal (19 between 1995 and 2005) have they ever had a longer winless run in the competition.

• Chelsea’s Graham Potter is now unbeaten in his last three Premier League games against Manchester United (W2 D1), after losing each of his first five league matches against the Red Devils as a manager beforehand.
• Chelsea's Raheem Sterling has now faced Manchester United 24 times in all competitions in his professional career, more than any other opponent. However, he's never scored against the Red Devils, despite attempting 38 shots across those these meetings (15 on target).
• Jorginho has now scored 19 of his 22 penalties in the Premier League for Chelsea (86%), with only Frank Lampard having scored more penalties for the Blues in the competition (41).

Chelsea

Chelsea manager Graham Potter, speaking to Sky Sports, says: "It's disappointing because we're 1-0 ahead at the end but over the course of the game a point is about right and I'm not sure if we did enough to win it.

"A really fighting performance from us, we improved a lot after 30 minutes so we will take what we get.

"We couldn't get enough control of the game in the middle. The boys gave everything they can and improved a lot in terms of our work, but we were playing a good side.

"I thought the players' attitude on the pitch was great, the boys gave everything in a hard, intense match in the middle of a really busy period. The boys left everything out there.

"Kepa was a bit unlucky but it's only just gone in and the first goal we have conceded in a while but we have to take the positives. I thought we could've attacked a bit better at times. We had chances, they had chances so a point is about right."

Manchester United

Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag, speaking to BBC Sport: "I have to make a big compliment to my team. To fight back with a fourth game in 10 days, you see the spirit and how they deal with setbacks. Really good.

"First half Rashford had two big chances, Antony one against one. You have to score goals in such moments because in top games three chances is massive. You have to score.

"We dictated the game and I am happy with that. If you concede a goal late it is difficult.

"Eight minutes before half time we had some troubles but defence in the second half we didn't have troubles. The second half we didn't really create big chances, but also Chelsea didn't.

"I think it is a fair result. I would have been disappointed if we had gone without a point because we didn't deserve that. At the end of a tough week to come here, you bring the point home."

On Varane: "It is difficult to say how it is now because it is so soon after the game. We have to wait 24 hours and then we will know what it is."

Chelsea

Chelsea boss Graham Potter, speaking to BBC Sport: "Lots of positives in terms of the amount of effort the boys put into the game. Manchester United were better than us for the first 30 minutes and we had to respond and I felt we did that.

"It wasn't from a lack of trying. The boys gave everything, when you score as late as you do there is a feeling you've dropped points but over the course of the game a point is probably about right.

"When we scored, because of how hard fought it has been it is hard to control things going into the box. We have to accept the point and dust ourselves down to go again on Tuesday.

"I can't stand here and say we deserved to win. The two teams had a go and a point is about right."

Manchester United

Manchester United's Bruno Fernandes, speaking to Sky Sports: "We had chances in the first half and could have been 2-0 up. They got the goal from the penalty but we kept fighting. We got the point, it isn't what we want but we never gave up.

"The best chances we had we couldn't score. We kept fighting and working."

On the penalty: "I said to the referee that in the Premier League this kind of contact is every game. I didn't see it, I can't say if it was right or not. Scott said he was not holding him. I don't know."

On the Man Utd goal: "It was a great cross from Luke Shaw and a great header by Casemiro. We know he has that, he scored many goals against Real Madrid. It was a fantastic goal."

On Ronaldo situation: "We don't talk about that. We keep it inside. We have to deal with that inside and no one else has to know what we want or think. The most important thing for everyone including Cristiano is that the team wins."

Andrew: Brilliant leap from Casemiro, Kepa unlucky. United deserve something from the game though.

Andrew P: File that one under ‘looping header’. Time stood still.
